2 Sleepless nights and here we go - my vci-300 mapping is almoust done.
I’m not a professional dj or a producer, started recently and it seems to work out slowly.
What you will get here is my Traktor Pro 1.1.1 mapping for vci-300 which I tried to make Itch-like as much as possible. So basicly you will have such functions as CUE/PLAY, PFL A/B, SCROLL, Playlist/Browser Navigation, AUTO TEMPO / SYNC, SHIFT, EQ’s, AUTO LOOP and all other basic stuff beside CUE’s, working like they should(I hope ). Also I set up a realy nice FX1(chained) interface on the controller, hope you will like it.
All kind of feedback is appreciated, its beta and still requires alot of work.
HOW TO USE? All basic functions are same as Itch.
Navigation:
UP/DOWN to select up and down in the list/tree
TAB to switch between tree and list
BACK/FWD to Collapse/Expand the tree
SCROLL to scroll with left or right Jog’s through list
[SCROLL] + PFL A/PFL B to load a track into deck A/B
PFL A/PFL B to turn monitor for deck A/B on
AUTO LOOP to activate loop of set size
HALF / DOUBLE to change size of AUTO LOOP
[SHIFT] + HALF / DOUBLE to move cue or loop one step to the left / right
AUTO TEMPO to synth the tempo and adjust slave to master
[SHIFT] + AUTO TEMPO to synth only
KEY LOCK to lock the key
[SHIFT] + KEY LOCK(left/right) to turn snap/quant mode on
[SHIFT] + BACK/FWD to copy deck A<B/A>B
Misc:
[SHIFT] + CENSOR to activate filter
[SHIFT] + TRIM = Filter amount
[SHIFT] + X-Fader to seek through decks
FX Chained(Left side):
[SHIFT] + CRATES activates the FX1 interface + LED “interface” on controller
TRIM = Dry/Wet, HIGHT/MID/LOW = Effect 1/2/3 Amount
CUE1/IN, CUE2/IN, CUE3/IN = Effect 1, 2, 3 Select Next
I am also in search, try it myself, to create a mapping for the vci 300 like in itch.
My aim is only to create the functions as they appear on the vci and working like in itch (especially for the jogwheels and leds).
I hope that we will as soon as possible get a “original/official itch-traktor pro midi mapping”.
Thanks (also to claudek and Morbido for their great work)

Turn your vci-300 on and go to MIDI Setup in TPro. There you choose midi input and output, its either USB Audio Device or the actual name. Turn it on by double clicking on it. Thats it.
Edit: And ofcourse go to MIDI Mapping and import the tsi.
Updated first post with more info about new tsi and the file itself. No smart cueing this time though. Don’t have time to finish it right now.
Also be aware of TPro screwing jog signals. I would recommend you not to scratch with both jogs at the same time because the signals will get mixed and it break your mix.
Don’t know if I’m doing somethig wrong but I can’t get the FX to work on the right (A) deck. Using the VCI-300 I can see on the screen the FX on deck A moving as I turn knob but nothing is happening. On deck B I can’t even control the FX with the VCI but I can activate them through the laptop. Deck A I can’t even activate at all but I can only see the FX move as I turn and push knobs and button on the VCI. How hard can it be to assign the FX to a nanokontrol pad and level as much as possible itch like contol. I wanna help as much as possible so let me know if there is something I can do to help this along.

For the left side, FX1 Chained, after you press [SHIFT] + FILES the LED interface should light up. Then you can use HIGH/MID/LOW Knobs to change the amount of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd effects. By pressing OUT1(2,3)/LOOP you will activate the effect(on hold) and by pressing it with [SHIFT] you will toggle it. Pretty similar for the right side, just check on the first page what each button does and you will be good to go.
Its much easier than its seems.
