Soundcloud rejecting mixes

because of the copyright there must be a way around it because i have seen loads of mixes with copyrighted songs it said my first songt was copyrighted how can I bypass it there must be a way maybe a intro ??? how are you suppose to get known as a dj

Allow 10 seconds of silence before the mix begins. I believe that’s the trick.

The silence is a nice trick but still not %100 effective.

You are not 100% effective.

I’ve move to Mixcloud mostly because of this issue, but have conceded that I’ll probably just need to do a voiceover intro for Soundcloud mixes going forward. I have also noticed that Soundcloud’s copyright protection seems to target specific artists for me (most notably Feed Me - anytime I have a mix starting with one of his songs I get a trigger).

The voice over intro def works wonders

I think the reason I haven’t had an issue is that I don’t allow downloads and I put in a track list. Having said that, I see loads of mixes with no “podcast” intro available for download. I’d stick with Mixcloud but Soundcloud gets like 5X the attention.

i stopped using both companies because of the cost and this issue.
im fine and get WAY more results with my podcast in iTunes

Try not to have the first song be one by a major or semi-major label/artist. Once you get past the first song, you’re usually good, provided there are actual mixes in the mix.

I’ve had to go in and audacity some effects into the first 30 seconds or so for mixes where the first song got pegged.

Soundcloud is so ridiculously expensive now :disappointed:

And Mixcloud seems to have pretty poor quality? I am mixing directly into Mixify and their hosting keeps pretty good quality stuff.

79 euro a year isn’t too bad.

I don’t mind Soundcloud’s price tag.. At least I’m spending it on something I enjoy rather than buying booze and shit.

in my case … also :stuck_out_tongue:

Did you just imply that you do not like booze? :scream:

Never, I’m implying that I would probably spend the money on booze instead lol. Which I would :unamused:

A buddy of mine has had soundcloud rejecting his tracks saying they are infringing on… well… himself.

Don’t play commercial tracks, problem solved. I have over 80 mixes up and from memory, only 3 have been pinged since 2007, 2 of which were house sets
