Denied a mix I did because of copyright issues over a certain song I actually bought off of Beatport.
Anyone ever have this happen to them? I disputed the shit out of it.
Did the mix start instantly? Usually mixes on SC from my knowledge have 3-5 seconds before starting because that prevents any copyright issues.

just because you bought the track doesn´t give you the right to upload it again. even in a mixtape. your only luck is to upload it on mixcloud or rerecord the set without this track.
I see.. Originally they said “Heartbreaker by DJ Le Roi” was the song that caused the problem, but I have a remix of it in the mix anyways, not the original.

You technically don’t have the right to post anyone else’s music in a a mix.
this. technically dj mixes conisting of other peoples material violate copyright regulations.

This is VERY common, how is this always a surprise when it happens? If you don’t own a track, and the owner has flagged it with soundcloud, and you use it, you will get shut down. There’s tricks about putting silence at the beginnings of your mix, or you could just upload to mixcloud.
