Source for Knobs oriented in the “opposite direction”
Anyone know of a source to buy knobs that are oriented “opposite” to the DJTT Chroma Caps? I have some equipment (mixers etc.) that the knobs can fit, but the indicator position is wrong.
For that matter, how do you even identify the orientation when ordering from a store? I’m guessing there are different names/configuration options, but I have no idea what to look for.
Checked out mouser, but they had a huge selection and I couldn’t figure out which one was which.
A lot of higher-end knobs (a buck or two more) have set screws on them. These don’t have a semi-circle shape to accommodate the stem, but a circle shape. You use an allen wrench or similar to tighten them down when the knob pointer is in the correct position.
APEM knobs are excellent, and so are Alco knobs. Both are available from Mouser, Digikey, etc…
