I have my pitch sliders set to +/- 6% as it gives finer control - but the problem i’m having is it takes ages to get from say 121bpm to 125bpm - i have to keep my finger held down on the button for ages!
Is there a way i can speed this up?
I realise if you set the +/- % to 100% then it speeds up a lot more BUT you don’t get a tight control over the bpms then.
i have assigned it to a button on my X1…But in the controller mappings section of the prefs, i can’t see anything to adjust the speed when you press the button.
Ya should map it to one of the 4 encoders on the x1. for example shift+encoder to adjust pitch up or down. Then you can use the buttons for fine adjustment.
Yep, default or course will do the job. But as I find this button option resolutions limiting I prefer changing type to encoder as mention. From there you can set exact amount of movement that you need, check it out
Hi stewe, how do you change it from button to encoder? When i click ‘type of controller - Button’ - the only option is button…
I have tried default/course in the resolution section but as said above, this just loses close control of the tempo. I want it fine but also want it to move fast.
Just incase its the last and only option guys - how do i set it up so that i can use shift In/Out to do quick speed up or down adjustments?
Tried tempo adjust or you talk about BPM gridding? Works on CNTRL:R

thanks for the help everyone.[/QUOTE]
Shift modifier will do.
button-hold
value 1
Fine = modifier condition 0
Fast = modifier condition 1
Let me know if you follow, I can give more detail…
Yes i’m talking about the ‘Tempo Adjust’ in the controller settings in preferences.
I’ll give the shift modifier a go later tonight - I have switched my mapping around on my X1 so that In/Out moves the pitch slider up and down - and shift In/Out does the ‘manual loop in / loop out’ - but i will sacrafice the manual loop in/out for the quick adjustment of the pitch slider because i never use manual loop in/out.
Go ahead and delete those commands, next thing add your fine adjusts as posted in this thread. Dont forget to use same modifier conditions as your loop control is currently assigned with.
Currently i use the In/Out buttons to adjust the tempo adjust slider - I have it set to 6% so its adjustment is in fine increments - but if i want to go from say 120-124bpm then i have to keep my finger on the button for ages as it takes so long to get there…
So I would like to add the following to my X1 -
Shift + In/Out = fast adjustment of the Tempo adjust
Any walk through guide or help would really be appreciated,
