Stuck here, scared, and debating. Ugh.

So the other day I was at my friends place, intoxicated and picked up the AKG K702 cans. Then I woke up the next day and saw what I had done, and uhm I was kind of excited, kind of not.

I’m debating right now whether to open them and use them, or return them. I really want a nice pair of cans (I use Bose around ears that I bought 3 years ago) but I kind of am trying to save up to pick up a MacBook Pro i7 15". These just set me back about $300. The reason i’m buying a new MacBook Pro is cause my mom is using my old ass computer and she is in dire need of one, so I want to give her the one I am using. =\

What would you do?

anyone else a little confused with this thread..?

Sorry if it’s confusing. I’m just asking should I keep the K702’s (main problem is cause of the bass response on it), or should I return it and keep saving up for a MacBook Pro the i7.

I tried to explain my full reasoning behind trying to make this decision. :expressionless:

take em back. just get a pair of hdj-1000’s. they can take a beating and bass response is great for the money.

cool of you to hook your mom up.

i hate it when i wake up, hungover and bank is a lot lower than what it was.

last time that happened i was in a strip club, and opened a tab…

I read the title of this thread as…

Return them and get some 1000’s or something else. I like my MDR7506’s they sound pretty good all the way around and cost a bunch less.

Take care of your mom, you’re a good kid.

thats cool.. it was just me reading wrong! i was reading it as if you were asking about the headphones and then went off on a tangent about buying a macbook..

this is why you shouldnt troll forums when you’re tired (or intoxicated as is sometimes the case)

my apologies good sir!

I thought you werent allowed to touch the girls nevermind open their tabs?

Just return and see if you can get your money back.

If this is not possible, just get some cheaper in stead.
(You might even turn to pioneer HDJ-500s if you want DJ headphones; as sound is supposed to be quite similar to that of the HDJ-1000 but they are a lot cheaper.)

But biggest tip, lay off the heavy drinking until you have bought the MBP.

touche…

what really annoyed me, i can’t touch, but they seemed to be allowed to…
just teasing :rage:

Thank you guys! I knew what I wanted to do, I just wanted to hear it from someone elses mouth as well. I can return it for sure, as it’s from Amazon.com and will be fine.

So I was taking it to the nearest USPS this morning, and I left at the same time my Mom was so we talked and she saw me carrying the large box it came in. She asked what it was, then I told her, and she got mad at me. She told me to keep it, and made me put it down there. So I guess I am keeping it now.

Thank you all for your replies!

Haha sounds like your Mom is as cool as her son! Win! How do they sound?

Haha, nah, Mom is way cooler! They sound decent, they are definitely better than the Bose right outta the box - however these babies need at least 100 hours break in, and as I just opened them I won’t know how great they are till the end of the week. They are huge though and fking awesome looking / amazing feeling!

It’s pretty fun to have a new pair of cans to listen to in University (first day back after break) especially since I have a 5 hour break in the middle of classes. I wish I could carry my S4 / Maschine to my University everyday :stuck_out_tongue:.

keep them and go buy 3 more pairs

Man, you must have never been to a Canadian Strip Club then. Rules are WAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYY different up in those parts.

Haha, whattt?

In all honesty ive never been to any Strip Club.
My mate has a bar across the road from the only strip club in my town and ive seen the girls that work they cus they come to the bar occasionally.
I wouldnt touch them with even if i was wearing boxing gloves.

I guess Canadian strip joints are a lot more seedy than here…

And you say ya touch..?
looks up flights to canada

+1 for HDJ-1000’s

Not built quite like a tank, but very nice bass response.
