Suggestions on DJ Headphones?!
My last pair of sennheiser headphones were destroyed at a house gig. I’m looking forward to buying another pair of headphones.
My price range $100-150.

Stop the troll!
Lol I have some sony mdr V700’s and they work wonderfully.
This DJTT post is relatively recent, but they maybe beyond your price range DJ Headphones Battle Royale – 5 Headphones Reviewed
I like the Sony MDR-7506. Only like $100.
Anything with a warranty. Headphones are notorious for breaking, doesn’t matter if they are five hundred dollars or seventy dollars they all break. Get a warranty and save yourself the hassle.
Pioneer HDJ-500R DJ Headphones
paid @ 99 bucks a year ago and they still going strong.
If you can hold on till tomorrow I have the exact thing you need on my laptop.
I managed to pickup the HDJ 1500’s for 135, and was pleasantly suprised. Really nice isolation, comfortable (and you can swap over HDJ-2000 earpads if you prefer), and while I found them a touch bass heavy, I find that it’s ideal when trying to beat-match your kicks.
Otherwise you can’t go wrong with the Sennheiser HD 280 pro’s. Had mine for almost 9 years, and loved them to bits
i have my sennheiser hd25 for 5+ years now (maybe longer - ITS OLD)
the only problem is the sound cutting off sometimes (and needs to wiggle the plugs a bit) but they always continue to work at the end of the day
and man they get trashed!
This gets asked every week.
Sennheiser HD 25’s are ALWAYS the answer. Whether they are in budget or just out of budget, just get them and be done with it.
^^What he says^^
Forget about it. Go big or go home! Get some beyerdynamic t70p headphones and then get them recabled for a longer cable and then seal the ports by BTG AUDIO!!! Out of your price range. But save man. and you wont ever look back
Old 4chan pic, but I’ve used this to buy my headphones for years. Def worth the read. Maybe we should sticky this or something? This does get asked a lot.

Great bang-for buck, multi-purpose cans. They make headphones for companies like Allen & Heath!
Over ear 50’s mean great isolation, they fit comfortably and they pull double duty as production monitor headphones too! In the states I think they run between 100-150. I’ve had mine almost a year now and have taken them all over Thailand, where the travelling can be rough at times. They’re still going strong. ![]()
Senns HD25’s to be honest OP, as many have said above, proven over years. Although I own and use Technics RP-DJ1200’s which I’ve had for 17 years+, still the same pair and not let me down once, they’ve been heavily gigged and I will admit the cups are well worn and there is a bit of tape support the arms, they’re still spot on audio wise after all the bashing they’ve had.
the hd25sp’s dual cable wiring is a bit annoying - i always prefer single sided cable, but each to their own perhaps
Yup!! I completely agree with you. It makes sense but i would say opinion differs from person to person.
