Technics 1200 Mk5
Im starting out in dj’ing and wanna go the vinyl route. I found a mk5 for 300 and thinking about getting it. Im picking that up tomorrow along with a rane ttm56 and wondering if thats a good setup with serato sl1

Ah, you’ll love it. I got my 1200 mk2s a looooong time ago (only cost me 350 for the pair as the shop was trying to get rid of them.) never had a days problem with them in all those years. You should be good to go.
300 doesn’t sound like a bad deal. Ask if there are any known issues.
there are a couple of guides to buying used Tech 12s online, check one of those and follow the guidelines when you go check them out
If the MK5 works out, it’s a prime set up for any DVS. Some may argue that you should get a different mixer with a built-in sound card. Ignore them.
Yeah I ended up getting both of them. The mk5 works just need to swap out my audiophile for a m447 I believe.
