4 channel Serato box.

nice to see some larger pictures of the x-one dx

That’s a pretty beefy looking mixer. I bet it’s expensive.

I’m wondering whether mixers with on-board effects are an anachronism at this point? Most DJ software these days includes effects in software, and it seems that’s the direction things should keep going for flexibility. I think it would just be confusing to have effects on my mixer as well as in Traktor; I’d only use one set of them I think so why pay for both? But I’ve never really used a mixer with on-board effects so maybe I just don’t understand the advantages of that.

Too bad all the high-res photos are of the Xone DX rather than the DB4. Anybody else notice the mixer seems to have an effect called “OMG”?

That’s the “Usher” effect…makes all the guys take their shirts off for some reason.

looks good

but yea, what’s the bill?

Humm.. Seems ok but you can do all of this with software and an external mixer already.

But I like the audio flexibility of the mixer.

I think the big deal is that it’s another mixer with a built in Serato sound card…4 ins and 4 outs…so the Rane mixer isn’t the only player on that front any more.

am i the only one getting x-one dx pictures when hitting the view larger x-one db4 links?

no. the links point to DX pictures.:rage:

nice!

so it doesn’t have midi control?
if used with Traktor, you’d have it set for external mixer?

still nothing to match an evo5, I’m afraid.

a little disappointed unless it’s got some other bells and/or whistles to be released this weekend.

yeah…this was a let down. Its a bad ass 4 channel mixer, with tons of great stuff on there, but thats it??

Im really hoping Pioneer has something to offer this weekend.

excuse my language, but that is one clutterfuck of a mixer

Huge let down.

Meh at the eq layout and losing the mid high/mid low separation, but who knows, maybe the alternate filter mode w/ adjustable resonance works well too.
Very cool that it still has the dual filters.
Nice chunky rotary dials for fx dry/wet, cluttered fx sections though.
Interesting placement of the usb connector : it’s in a convenient spot - on the top so no need to shuffle behind the mixer when setting up, and out of the way of mostly everything, so lesser risk to knock things out.

@deco : notice the midi shift button, middle of the left side. Now to figure out which parts are midi assignable…

Also notice how the PR blurb on there doesn’t mention certification for either of the two main DVS.

Digital inputs are a nice addition as well. I mean come on, digital outs have been standard on CDJs for how many years again? I haven’t seen them used yet, even when in tandem with one of the Pioneers which have digital inputs.

Only two of the inputs are switchable to phono unfortunately (the four inputs were switchable on the 92).

I just spotted the fader slope controls. Only switches now, no more knobs.

Where does it say Serato soundcard, i cant find it. My eyes are very sore though (true).

Anyone else underwhelmed. I mean, yeah it will be awesome cus A&H stuff is but i think we all expected a little more didnt we?

I didn’t see Serato on there anywhere either.
