I’ve had the keyboard map act up on me yesterday too.

is this a bug Karlos ?
and if so, any info on it would be great, like is it a high priority bug etc
maybe asking too much as you may not be able to comment on things like that,
but if its a known bug and a fix is in progress that would be cool ![]()
i didnt have this issue with my S4P software on either the PC or MBP.
(but id have to test it again before i swore on my granny)
now im only running the TP2 software on my MBP so i cant tell if its the same on both PC and MBP. but this thing (bug or not) maybe enough to make me revert back to the S4P software
is there a way around this, maybe a simple option click ?
when quickly checking cued tunes on the fly, i use the move/active rotary knob to skim trough tracks and i find not been able to see the back end of the playhead can really slow me down.
thanks
This is a bug for sure, the E-Vouchers are not being sent out!
Traktor 2 just won’t work for me. I have tried and tried. Reinstalled it 5 times. Once its installed I plug in my X1 and other controllers but T2 is just being unresponsive. I literally have used my mouse to load a song into a deck and click play, and nothing happens. The play button lights up but the track does not move.
On top of this none of my controllers are gaining any response in Traktor with the exception of the X1 (which has now also lost any recognition in T2). All my settings worked perfect with TP so idk what to do.
This is insanely frustrating.
Ok iv got issues with my new DL of TSP2 im running it with my Audio 8 sound card, iv run the Channels C and D to separate Channels on my Pioneer DJM600 and im using timecode vinyl for the A and B so thats all good, but when i put a loop into the sample track its not syncing with what im bringing in on the next track and sometimes it will pitch down when i que up the next Vinyl track, yes i have snap to grid and Qauntize on, also the timecode vinyl has been playing up and going crackly when queing up like the other guy has mentioned with his scatting, so iv got a few things going wrong with my TSP2 not calling them bugs but iv been running scratch pro for 3 years and its solid if i ever had issues with the timecode vinyl i would hit reset and it would be fixed which only ever happened a few times when setting up at different clubs . i will be deff be running TSP2 at home for a while before i feel conferdent to take it to the club just yet.
I’ve got some issues running TP2. Well, one in particular. It doesn’t like my internal sound card, at all. Half the time I load it up, and it crackles when it loads, and it shows that there is sound playing on both channels even tho there isn’t (in the vu meter up the top), and no sound will play from any of the decks.
The other half of the time, it loads up and shows only one channel working, and the other channel will play on the decks.
It only works properly about 1 in 10 times I open T2… so I have to keep closing it and opening it until it works. Very annoying.
Actually, it even happens when I switch to my controllers output via asio4all ![]()
One bug…apparently they forgot to implement key lock on the sample decks.
In no particular order apart from the first one (S4 hardware in mind)
* allow faders and knobs to be set up as buttons in HID mode
Well now you’re just being unreasonable! ![]()

In no particular order apart from the first one (S4 hardware in mind)
* allow option to retain direct control over fx units 1&2 whatever the deck layers even if 4 fx units are set up
* allow to set up as one see fit the second assign button for each deck even with 4 fx units set up (and with working led feedback)
* allow full mapping of the led display on the s4 hardware (loop length screen notably)
* allow option to reset the third parameter or not when using the jog wheel as fx control
* no generic mapping command to have a blinking led (not related to any phase monitor or volume output)
[/quote]
I agree 100% with these ones, specially the loop display one (at least let us do a custom map and retain it damn it, we know it’s hardwired).
PS: I’d like the ability to route fx only to some of the samples within a sample deck, but that is a feature request ![]()
i gave TP2 a go and its great but its not ready IMHO and it should of been held back from public release a little bit longer and to be honest i expected bugs but i really do wonder why NI always put out what seems like rushed and un tested software,
its a great piece of software but for me I’ve deleted the software and im about to go re install the TPS4 until they send out a patch that fix the issues.
i dont know if everyone is having the same issues or not,
if different people are having different issues then sadly it may be harder to fix ![]()
i aint even gonna bother with sending any tickets to NI as id say there overwhelmed right now anyway, hope our Karlos aint snowed under with PM to much either, ill sit and wait till the fix is out but even though i only used them for a very short space of time, i sure will miss them coloured wave forms
so so pretty ![]()
its a side by side install this time, right? so, no need to reinstall S4, we can simply use either S4 or TP2 if we have both installed, no?
pro2 has higher cpu usage (blatantly obvious)
while not actually peaking im getting audio issues after about half an hour of use, restart the software and the bug is gone. Strangely it worked fine for over an hour last night.
back to Pro for me until an update is released, kinda disappointed but not really surprised as it is an initial release. Just sucks cause i’ve NEVER had audio issues ever before (traktor 3.3 something all the way to pro)
does someone have the problem that when seting a loop, the loop sets one beat ahead of where u want it to be?
I’ve heard the CPU meter reads higher because it’s been redesigned to be more representative than TP1. Obv TP2 does use a bit more CPU than TP1 with the extra decks etc but it’s not as much as it seems. Shame you’re having audio problems though.
I have noticed snap being a bit weird at times, like refusing to set a cue point right at the beginning of a song. I haven’t noticed a problem with looping but I can believe you for sure! What I think is awesome though is the new backward looping that’s apparently available in the midi mapping, ie set a loop for the last 8 beats rather than the next, and shorten up to the end rather than back to the beginning. Makes looping up to a drop easier and doesn’t require a cue point.
Yup, but only sometimes when setting a hotcue before the beatmarker.
PS: I’m SO happy that Traktor now remembers x-fader assignment (vs TPS4)

I only noticed this when setting loops is this somekind of bug? carlos any info maybe?
bacward loop? hmmm didnt see any thing about that. Might be a nice feature. In which mapping is this?
Not really a bug but it really annoys me;
Does anyone notice when using timecoded vinyl that the BPM reading is like overly sensitive? Anway to change or adjust that?
Nope not a bug just changed the Deck Header from BPM to Stable BPM.
It’s not “in” any mapping, but it’s a new option in the midi mapping apparently. I haven’t had a chance to look yet. I’ll give it a try and probably remap my X1 loop encoders.
