also, whats the difference between beat and temo sync? im using the demo, and my controller’s sync button is mapped to only get the temo the same and then turn sync off, but now it changes the tempo as long as i hold the button down and then it goes back to the old bpm when i let go.
I must have overlooked Xone mixer type.. I only remember there being a xone fx type..
The beatsync vs temposync is a bit of a mystery for me as well. Not going to have a chance to really start using the software until after I get off work today so I have been browsing the various dialog boxes and such in between work tasks.. Anyone have the scoop?
Can someone explain what exactly the waveform is telling me haha (the colored one obviously) Also if you really wanna mess your eyes real quick zoom in as much as possible on the waveform, anyone who can tell whats going on is superman.
+1 for more of a tutorial on the FX. I see a lot of potential for the bouncer, but seems a little out of control, perhaps i’m not using it right. Also some insight on the delays would be sick.
(When you used a lot of leds in a mapping, the sound would crackle and drop-out, this seems solved as far as I have experienced). Str8upDrew made an app for Pro (1) that solved this though.
Can anyone with a controller with a lot of LEDs (launchpad or something) test if he’s able to map all the LEDs without any sound-problems?
Can any1 confirm whether they’ve fixed the send monitor state issue with Windows and if it’s 64 bit so I can decide which OS to install for the upgrade, please.
Interesting. Does auto gain now work with post fader effects now? I was mapping a button to lower the volume fader a bit but would rather use autogain for that.
It seems as though I am going to have to re-analyse my tracks… the cues are there, the grid is there, but the preview wave doesnt load if i dont re-analyze…
Not seeing that here. Just loaded a set that I have been working on this week and all of the cue points and the preview wave shows up OK. However it took a moment before the preview wave rendered.. Noticeably longer than the older version but could not have been longer than 5 seconds or so.
On top of this, I also experience NO distortion/pops/crackles, even when spamming the LED’s faster than I would EVER do when I actually play.
This testing was done with:
Audio 2 DJ
AND
Audio 8 DJ
(Tried with both)
NI Kontrol X1 (custom mapping with two “Send Monitor State” triggers)
Behringer DDM4000 (with mapped LED feedback)
2x Denon DN-SC2000 (modified mapping with heavy LED feedback)
I did the testing with a track playing through a low pass filter down to around 80hz, so the pops/crackles/distortion that happens in the upper frequency spectrum would be much easier to hear.
And it sounds CLEAN.
I am so stoked. I used to have to set both my Denon controllers to NOT receive MIDI data from traktor, so that the LED issue was partially fixed (I just turned off the LED feedback basically, but could still use the controller).
I could also COMPLETELY crash out traktor, and sometimes even cause a BSOD through button press spamming. If I pressed enough buttons fast enough, and spammed the LED’s enough, everything would come CRASHING to a halt…
ok probly a dum question, just hooked my s4 up2 my macbook and the light abouve the snap button is flashing away, is the driver not set up correct? its not the usb light flasshing its the triangle next that and i cant see anything mentioned about this in the manual\
The reason your stripes are Missing is because traktor has to reanalyze the files to create the new colored waveform. Your grids and cues will all be there it just needs to update the waveform to the new color version
