Sam’s DJ fees have jumped from $1,500 to as much as $25K per gig, reports the New York Daily News, bringing her total for 2008 to almost $3 million – and part of that is because club promoters know where Sam goes, Lindsay’s not far behind. “Sam’s now asking for a lot more money to spin,” says a source. “And she’s getting it easily.”

Some times you have to have money to make money.
I heard her DJ at Lollapalooza this year. She’s not bad, but not at all great. I don’t know if I would consider her a main draw, but certainly a capable opening DJ.
So totally not a person who should be getting 3million a year as well as DJing Lollapalooza . I mean seriously what exactly is she doing for the music other than strappin one on and bangin Lindsay Lohan ? Just another sort of celebrity DJ getting in the way of actual talent .
Come on, don’t hate the player… Nowadays you have DJs who aren’t even DJs, DJing at places where a real DJ would kill to DJ.
Braindead nimrods like Groove Armada come to mind, and about a zillion other one club hit wonders. Still, none of you (or me) would have done it any differently if we had the chance so… don’t hate the player 
Actually I would have gone about it a lot differently . Integrity is everything and getting paid 3mill a year because you’re sleeping with someone famous and not because you’re an actual great DJ shows even though you might have had good intentions originally you know inside you’ve lost all integrity .
As far as Groove Armada goes you might wanna get your facts straight with them .

As far as Groove Armada goes, I saw them live in Malta, only one of them showed up and I’d rather watch Lohan get it doggy style from a chick with a strap on aaaany day before experiencing that again.
I say, as long as your serious about what you do and do it the very best way you can, more power to you.
If integrity has nothing to do with our chosen path in life then I can tell you it’ll be a long and painful drop down when it’s over . I’d say if you think something like this is ok you might want to reassess your reasons for wanting to be a DJ . Reasons for being a DJ? Wanting to be a DJ is not a reason enough? You talk as if it were a higher calling of some sort.
I highly doubt that person became a DJ, thinking “Hey, I’ll bag me a lesbo hollywood chick and then I can use it to further my career as a DJ”.
Sometimes opportunities show up in life and then it’s just a matter of grabbing them. Best of luck to anyone who can, may it be Ean Golden or Lesbo Lohan.

This kind of thing happens all over - why does David Beckham command such a fee as a football player? - He’s well past his prime on the pitch, but as far as promotion, advertising and recognition goes, he’s on top of his game still… (he can make back his transfer fee in extra shirt sales alone)
It’s not always just about the primary function - i’m sure that 25k is reflective of the raised level of media coverage a promoter can expect due to the celebrity status of the Ronson/Lohan coupling…
this is all a result of capatilism. capatilism is also why there is so much shit music in the world.
