Time To Atone - Classic Funky/Disco House Pre-2000 Mixtrain

Time To Atone - Classic Funky/Disco House Pre-2000 Mixtrain

Ok so the first one was a bit of a disaster so let’s do it again properly.

30 mins per dj, 4 days each in the following order:

Train 1:
01: TVo14
02: keithace
03: MaxOne
04: Nicky H

Train 2:
01: Kontrol
02: shadesof
03: photojojo
04: vacant (add name below if u want in)

TVo14 your time starts at midnight GMT tonight, so you got till Monday midnight GMT

Train 2 starts when the list is filled - shadesof please confirm u want in - and we need 1 other

Style is classic disco house not disco - 90’s house with a disco vibe/sample e.g.

Format will be FLAC - or WAV/ AIFF if you prefer - but it’s your upload time so I suggest FLAC.

Dropbox for the files - pm me your email addresses so I can share the folder.

Nice!

Maybe we should be a bit stricter on the genre too somehow… dunno like how…

Perhaps each song has to have a genuine disco sample or stricter years… like 1989-1999 or 1996-1999.

Just sending ideas up the flag pole and seeing if any will fly

I’ll go in as an alternate.

Good idea - I’ll update first post

I’ll put ya down for train 2 - I think 4@30 minutes is better for the choo choo

Completely agree.

Word up, I got this. I’m running out of songs, this is my 3rd 90’s Funky Disco House mix, you may hear some of the same tracks again in different order. “These aren’t the droids you’re looking for”
Also, I noticed in the last mix that the recording levels were really low. I will be setting higher recording levels a bit higher and save it as a wave file.
Is Funkstar Deluxe considered late 90s??

@TVo14 No same tunes man!!! There’s so so many good tunes out there.

Cool to go with deeper cuts anyway, loads of tunes are well overheard imo.

Classics but just a tiny bit rarer is good i think but each to their own.

Funkstar Deluxe “Sun Is Shining” is 1999/2000 so it qualifies

Yeah I’m gonna go DJ Sneak stylee or maybe some early Azuli stuff but thats the good thing about the train - different styles in one mix - so all good

Early Azuli = yes please!

I played a house version of this with no lyrics but I so want to play this one

Still need one more person for the second mix train - come on peeps

shadesof let me know your around buddy

Exsqueeze me, but what is “Early Azuli”?

Azuli is a house label… they been around for years.

Their early stuff is quality

= Early Azuli

i have a few Azuli pieces of vinyl…

Ach so…

I can’t remember having any Azuli vinyl.
For me those times it was mostly USA label ‘Strictly Rhythm’,‘Fresh Fruit’ and ‘Outland Records’
We Dutchies were glad to have house and labels from our own little lowlands…

My set is done. Recorded and copied up at as a .WAV file as requested. its already 330mb. wow.
Feel free to cut the last song short. It ran a bit long, mix in wherever you want
Set list
Spiller - Groovejet (Spillers Extended Vocal Mix)
Funkstar Deluxe - Pull Up To The Bumper
Disco Kidz - Starlite
super Funk - La Guerre Du Funk
Antoine Clamaran Pres. The Night - Energy
Rhythm Inc - Benga
Disco Biscuits - Disco Biscuit

its not in the dropbox…

My bad, I’m a bit of a Dropbox Newb but figured it out, its there now. In the Mixtrain 2 folder

got it…been looking at records all day…definitely a different flavor than last time..

I’m not really happy with the last track but thought it met the criteria.
If I’m way off, tell me and I will re do.
