i want to know: how has 2011 been so far for you?
crazy, ive been working like a mad man
Assignments, Exams, Moving House blah blah.
Could be worse, got some gigs and a radio thing coming up.
Working like a biatch so far! Even though iv been DJ’n quite a bit haven’t had time to concentrate on things.
Great - had an awesome NY with friends and now I’ve moved out to San Francisco!
Spent the first 10 days of 2011 on a beach so its been great.
Going Forward:
-DJ Work
-Started on a new work project
-Starting to reassemble my studio after i had to dismantle it on Xmas Day due to frozen water pipes and a faulty boiler.
-Back on a diet after eating myself out of shape over Xmas
-Started running again (see above)
-Planning/saving for holidays/travels in 2011

I think mine slowed down around the time i started to drink a lot less.
Gone are the nites of drunken mega posting.

2011 has been crazy busy so far and its only going to get crazier with dj’ing, starting my first track productions, and getting back into event production.
so far, its going frightningly well.

2011 is awesome so far I have been learning TSP and lovin it also got some dicers freaking sweet and doing custom mappings now!! Moving forward I am going to try and get all my music on one drive in some kind of order and beatgrids done.

Been crazy for me, but that’s nothing new.
So far this year:
-Added 2 new members to my project “La Fin Du Monde”, both of which are turntablist.
-Writing 2 programs, and building a website for my day job.
-Finishing this controller that i started far too long ago.
-Getting the official version of my “Send Monitor State Fix” app ready for release. (Still needs a new name)
-Painting the interior of my house.
So ones like the Black Sheep step child (me/dicer) and the other is the favorite (my brother/MF) Makes a ton of sense.

I’ve been working like a fucking madman. Two jobs, 56 hour weeks every week. I’m in the process of saving for Ultra and some extra for a setup. Waiting on taxes to come back hopefully getting a knarly amount back. But was out of work for awhile last year (6 months) and so I’m kinda catching up with myself.
This is my second day off this year. Fuck.
But yeah, big plans for this year. Ultra (in Miami), Key West right after for a few drunken days, Starscape (in Baltimore, MD. Fucking awesome show), and then word on the street WEMF (World Electronic Music Festival) is back (outside of Toronto, CA) this year (which is my absolute favorite event. Last time Andy C did a 3 hour, 3 turntable, straight vinyl set [in '08 when Bodyrock was getting big] and it literally blew my mind to smithereens.) Never-mind a couple local shows.
Been hearing similar things, I hope WEMF actually is back cause I’ve never gotten to go and I’m from Toronto so it’ll be easy for me to get to the thing.
Hmm, my year…
Pretty decent but crazy too. Had pneumonia which has cleared up now. Got plenty of school work to do, studying all that jazz… shit still gotta buy my textbooks for this term. Ordered new headphones that I should have by the weekend (will review when I get the chance). And I’ve been playing out a fair bit too (mostly parties but I have concert gig on Wednesday that should be interesting).
In the spirit of Karlos, things that need to be done:
- Get back in shape (a month of pneumonia can really leave you feeling weak)
- Save up for something to solve the problem of my using 3 or 4 decks too often
- Try to do an hour long mix per month
- Finish crazy paper on the use of plants in ancient greek / egyptian magic spells that is from last term… yeesh, so much cataloguing… no I’m not at some kinda harry potter school
- Get some more club gigs… maybe try to start up a dubstep / drum & bass night at one of the local clubs since almost everywhere is top40 and house
exams since dec (very spread out, last on thursday) and after that i plan on getting more into DJ’ing, started this summer but havent played out yet so def. wanna change that 
as well as recording more mixes for my friends just to get my name out there
