Traktor 2.7.5 Beta

HID support for XDJ and 900NXS

About time, seems like NI are ramping up development of the Traktor, there’s been a few beats released in a short amount of time

Sure hope there’s some bug fixes and performance increases coming.

Stuff like the “flickering” tracklist drives me mad. :disappointed:

I’ve been a guinea pig for every 2.7 version, but after 2.7.3 I won’t be doing that any more.

They’ve introduced more bugs with every version. :thumbsdown:

I may have to be a guinea pig. I have always had reliable stable Traktor ever since the original Traktor.
I bought an X1 a few weeks ago and upgraded Traktor but I have been hit with the bug gremlins for the first time. I have tried every fix but to no avail!
Everytime I load a track a get a screen freeze and audio glitch for half a second is the worst and cpu usage is constantly over half

I’ll upgrade to see if it improves mine

I’m on 2.7.3 and checked service centre and there’s nothing there?

What are your system specs?

As for the beta, it’s on NI’s website, the requirements are there.

the betas are not found in service center. they can be downloaded in NI´s forum.

This flickering track list, does it cause a spike in CPU usage too by any chance? And then sometimes, it delays a track from loading into a deck for a short while? Like 10 seconds to a minute?

Because mine started doing that at some point, NI told me my hard drive was possibly faulty.

It’s always flickered, but with 2.7.x it became notably worse.

I’m not buying that “faulty hard drive” response.

It’s a pain in the arse. When I start up Traktor and start mixing, around 5 minutes to 30 minutes in it will do one large audio glitch, the track list will flicker, and then like I said in the last post, it will be a short while before I can load a track into a deck.

For the rest of the 5 hour set, the audio glitch never happens again, however the tracklist does flicker every now and then and again, it causes a delay from when it happens to when I can load a track into the deck. I’m always well prepared so it’s never an issue but it bugs the hell out of me.

not sure about the loading track bit but i’ll take note next time it happens. To be honest it seems to have stopped or i’ve stopped noticing it, but when it was happening i would get spikes in the CPU usage. At this point i would go to activity log and check what my laptop was up to. everytime there was nothing else happening other than Traktor. I have a reasonably powerful laptop, so wouldn’t expect to see this stuff happening. I’ve not really said or done anything about it as i’m planning on getting my laptop serviced. Once it’s serviced and i know 100% it’s not my laptop i’ll explore why it happens?
That said it’s been fine lately.

yep! had a look last night and it’s still there but not as noticeable as before.

i upgraded to last version some weeks ago and had the gui freeze on me twice now - the tracks continue playing but the gui is non responsive. One of the times were live - it was not fun - i grabbed my phone and played some random track of it and rebooted. Since i have a hybrid disc it takes like 30 seconds to do a reboot but it was not fun. :confused:

I’ve done 2 gigs with 2.7.5 and had no issues with it so far. Setup had been as follows:

Gig 1 - CDJ2000, X1mk2, DJM850, X1mk2, F1
Gig 2 - CDJ2000, X1mk2, DJM850, XDJ1000

Was really impressed with the XDJ1000, the screen was easy to read and the Perform section is well laid out, although I think I’ll re-map a few things. I was only trying it out but I’m now considering moving on the CDJ2000’s for a pair of these. Might take out a CDJ900NXS this weekend to see if I like it better :wink:

CPU usage was still up on 2.6.8, but HID with these new players might force me to upgrade … Pity you can’t integrate new HID into older versions of Traktor :disappointed:
