Traktor 2 Sample Deck Sync Issue

Traktor 2 Sample Deck Sync Issue

I’m a Traktor S4 user who recently upgraded to Traktor 2. Is anyone having trouble getting the sample decks to sync to the master tempo? Right now I’m launching the samples in Deck C and D, but the samples are not syncing up to what’s playing out of the master output. I have the master clock set to “auto.”

I didn’t have this problem when I was using Traktor Pro S4 (the samples would sync seamlessly with the master output). Is there a setting I may have overlooked or could this possibly be a bug in T2?

i have experienced this, you need to be spot on with ur triggering atm

Chris I just figured it out. Make sure that “SNAP” and “QUANTIZE” are enabled in TP2 or your S4.

yep, snap and quantive have to be on.

I got my master clock set to “master” and the sample decks(C/D) are in perfect sync with decks A/B, no issues at all…

excellent!

I cannot get the sample decks to sync…i have Quantize, Snap and have tried it with Master and Auto and its still out…

what am i doing wrong?

maybe you haven’t beatgridded the samples. If you take loops from decks or the loop recorder on tracks that are properly gridded, they should sync. If not, I believe they just play at normal speed, which is generally what you want for one shots like the DJ 5 Dolla Holla airhorn or a certain someone talking about banging 7 gram rocks and
finishing them because
I have one speed,
I have one gear,
GO!!!

Sorry, still really enjoy that sample pack several weeks on.

so it doesnt beatgrid the samples automatically in the Sample deck? all samples must be pre beatgridded

thanks for you help man

No, because you can’t edit the grids in the sample deck and sometimes you don’t want them synced.

IU dropped a couple of Charlie Sheens on friday - love that sh*t man! lol.

I, I, am on a drug, it’s called CHARLIE SHEEN!

I like putting one like that just before a drop, but it’s a bit tricky to time!

‘Fly around the world with these two smoking hotties’ works well on a continous loop, too.

im gonna go see him at foxwoods in CT in a few weeks. fucking stoked. :sunglasses:

yeh I heard he’s doing a tour, is it just a monologue about how awesome he is?

Sorry middle america, yeh I said it…

I read that people walked out in the middle of the Detroit show. Apparently there’s a long video just of him playing Call of Duty or some shit.

Best ones I’ve found: “I got magic, and I got poetry at my fingertips”
and “Sorry my life is so much more bitchin’ than yours!”

Or before a drop: “It’s all good, it’s all good guys! Quit panicking.”

I had the same trouble, not sure how to fix the tempo of the sample permanently, but i was just playing around with my Korg nano kontrol and i set up on the sync button to “slot phase sync”, and assigned it to all slots.

Not ideal, but it works when the beat starts to creep out.

sample decks dont sync with master grid

i had kind of the same problem today. i made vocal samples with logic (loop in logic was exactly in tempo and length) but it din’t synced with the grid when i imported them to the sampledeck (loop function & mastertempo on) some worked, some not. the problem was, they had no grid.

You have drag the file to a track deck, set up the grid first and then record it with the loop recorder on top. then simply drag and drop the looprecorder to the sample window and play it for a proper work. it saves then to USER >Music > Traktor > Samples.

it made me freaking out.. NI has to make many things better..
