Traktor Kontrol S4 mapped to Ableton Live
Just curious if anyone has mapped the Kontrol S4 to control Ableton Live? If so (I assume yes) how do you find it works? Pros/Cons? Any feedback appreciated

OMG I WISH I have man.. I have been trying to do it for like a week now and with no luck! I have got ableton to recognize it in the properties window… but it will not read in midi… I just want to know how you write a script for it so that ableton will recognize it… If anybody has any info on how to do this it would be greatly appreciated.
you need to press shift+browse to enter MIDI mode.

Shift + Browse and then just manually map everything out as a generic midi controller? Anyone use the S4 for Ableton? Curious how it works.
When I press shift + Browse and try to map something nothing works.. The controller changes some colors but it does not work when I try to midi learn things? any other ideas.
OMG I figured it out!!! ONCE you add the s4 to the controller list.. Note: ableton just needs an extra controller added to it inorder for it to read in MIDI from it… Make sure this controller is enabled in the properties menu..Once I did that and then I closed out of ableton.. I pressed shift + browse the lights on the s4 should come on… Then re open ableton and then you should be able to map it like a standard midi controller NOTE : you may need to shut down and reopen ableton once or twice inorder for it to recognize the S4 … I will keep you updated on how the mapping is going but so far everything works .. And I may switch completly from Traktor to ableton … I have had far to many problems with Traktor as a PC user.
Started dicking around with mapping my S2 this morning, kinda fun actually.
Big let down is there’s no way to browse using the controller.
Also loop controls can’t be assigned to channels, kinda funky.
yeah there are a few things you cannot map i am working on changing that
I’m assuming you’re referring to browsing functions? I figured a work around for that. Bome’s 
got a few controls routed through there replicating keyboard commands.
what would be the best addition to an s4 to control traktor + ableton?
