By the looks of it the S5 will control Stem/Remix deck volume/filter/fx sends in the same fashion the S4 does now. No timecode or standalone capabilities as a result of the simplified inputs but at least it has Booth outputs!

I think I might grab one of these since it should be quite more portable than the S8 and I already have Stem controls with the Twister

I like the look of this - have no need for timecode control so this is perfect.

When they cut in into 3 pieces and put jogwheel on it - then I’ll be interested. Until then - meh.

Been praying for a Z2 Mk2 but “meh” city over here.

Nice update, I may get one depending on the remapping capabilities. If it’s too closed, I’ll pass once again.

I wouldn’t keep my hopes up. If they ever do so I’m pretty sure they will open it simultaneously with the S8 and D2.

Dual USB ports, Capacitive Knobs, FX Send/Return, Freeze Mode, EQ Kill buttons.

I love Traktor but if it can steal some of the turntable mixer ideas going on in Serato land that would be a Traktor Fanboy goldmine.

WORD. Just make it 2 channels or 4 channels options and they would make a serious dent in the DVS market. Sick of these controllers without jogwheels, STEMS, etc. from Traktor. Look at Pioneer, they are doing it right… Of course minus the price tag.

one of the best things about using 2 X1s is having simultaneous access to play/cue/sync/hotcues for all four decks at the same time

Feels like NI have drunk their own remix deck/stem kool aid

And how you sync a MACHINE with that???

Any clue how could I effectively sync a MASCHINE to that thing?

I currently use one of the S4 inputs of to send the audio in as a live input, but this S5…uhm…

Maybe we have to expect some kind of seamless TRAKTOR - MASCHINE integration in future Traktor Pro? releases??? That would definetly kick ass!!!

I agree @beisi I like the idea behind the D2s but i don’t think i’ll ever get into Stems, well not for long while

Would rather X1mk3s with Displays

I am still on my first gen X1 and it works just fine for my needs :slight_smile:

I made sure to get two of them so I won’t have to buy the mk2
