Traktor Kontrol X1

Ive just bought an X1 from another forum member (thanks AboveDat!) and its due to be delivered in the morning so i’m understandably pretty excited!! I was hoping to run it along side my Digital Jockey to control decks C & D, mainly for triggering loops and Hotcues etc but ive searched this forum and cant really find anyone else using it for this of a similar purpose.

So i have 2 questions:

1 - is this a reasonable use for the X1? and

2 - how do others fit this piece of kit into their set ups?

Have you got it hooked up and running at the same time as your S4?

yes good plan, and I love it, try using it in midi mode with midifighter deckalized mapping!

yes my friend, works like a charm. modified a bit the tsi for the x1 supplied with pro s4.

Good to hear it. I can’t wait to get my hands on it!! It’s gonna add a whole load of functionality to my set up.

X1. Dont leave home without it.

X1 all the way… I have 4 of them. a pair for my TSP setup, another pair for my S4 setup. I confirm they work really well with the S4.

how do u do that? and what does it do with that mapping? im interested as i have a pair of X1’s

you change the midi notes of each button in the controller editor so they match the midifighter layout, better than reassigning everything.
