Traktor not saving Cue Points
So traktor 3.3 is not saving Cue points for some reason. I click write files to sync and its not saving Cue points of loops..whats the issue here??
I didn’t know you could save the cue points of loops. I thought you just could save cue points that you ‘lock’.
You don’t have the song loaded on the deck when you are trying to save the file tags are you ?
I am pretty sure you can save loops too, i like to set mine on the fly though so i don’t save any - i should give it some consideration though.
it works fine in 3.4.1, so if u can update, do it
that happend to me every once in awhile. I do get pissed that i lose my beatgrids everytime i reinstall traktor even if I save my “Traktor” folder and copy it b4 i start traktor.
I wonder what the deal is going to be with PRO comes out. Is all that info going to xfer over?
So the song shouldnt be loaded into the deck. If its not how will I set my cues in the first place?
You set your cues first. Traktor saves them to it’s database. Then you unload the track and then right-click on the track and hit “write tags (async)”
I don’t know about you guys.. but I was pretty sure you can definitely write the tags with the track loaded in a deck (just not playing).
I just waited until I arrived home and tested it.. indeed.. you can write the tags with the track loaded in a deck. Just right-click and write tags…
Maybe its been fixed in later versions, i know i have run into this issue though - thanks for checking that for us Julio !
I always write tags as im play the tracks, i never get the blinking red bar. As far as I know it work on the fly.
try moving the files into a new directory now
Why would you move the file? If you do.. you loose the stripe information.. therefore you loose ALL the work performed to the track! Loops, Cues, etc.
ya. lock the loop, unload the deck, then write.
…im still not positively sure if that completely fixes the issue, becuz i still get some (that maybe i forgot to unload, i dunno) that dont save when i xfer them to my master directory

What version are you using? With v3.2 - 3.4 I have never had to unload the track to save (write) tags. Are you adding the tracks to the collection prior to move them to your “master” directory?
I alway keep a back up of my traktor folder in a zip file. and I had to reinstall xp on my lappy (every 6 months)
I run the demo of 3.4, atm. I download music into an intermediary file to sort, grid, cue, etc, then move it into a master directory when im done. In order to keep the data with the file (for whatever reason) it seems that u have to unload the track and then write tags. this way u dont have to worry about stripes or moving .nml files.
I can move the files into different directories and run them from different accounts and they keep their tags. there are probably other work-arounds for this, but this way seems the most simple to me.
I dont think u can add music to a collection in the demo version, becuz it doesnt do anything when i try. i am kinda dumb though, so, there is a good chance i have no idea what im talking about.
I could be wrong about all this, but it seems to work for me.

Maybe it’s related to some functionality restrictions in the demo version? 
I admit I had MANY problems with this issue and especially many frustrating evenings when I started using Traktor. After spending countless hours setting the Intro cues, etc. I saved everything.. loaded them up OK… moved them to another folder and BAM… everything lost! I almost cried… after spending so much time there… that could have been spent with my wife and son, otherwise.
Random question. But is there a reason my VCI-100 doesnt make the “Wah” noise when I grab the Vinyl wheel or let go of it! i’ve always wondered that, I dont scratch much but still
Because its set up correctly and has the correct firmware.
