Traktor Pro 2: Jogwheels only 'scratch'

Traktor Pro 2: Jogwheels only ‘scratch’

Hey Guys,

Since i updated to TP2 the jogwheels dont need pressing anymore to scratch when the deck is paused. I did calibrate them again.

Feature, setting or bug?

It’s a setting in the Kontrol S4 Prefs. Click Traktor Kontrol S4 under Preferences and see if “Disable Jog Wheel Push” is selected. If not, I’m not sure, it might be an issue with your prefs. The best thing to do there would be to reimport the Kontrol S4 settings.

No, that does the exact opposite thing, disabling scratch and let the wheels only bend when playing.

It’s not a bug, it’s a feature, so you can cue your tracks before playing. It was present in S4 and TP1 too (for controllers without touch/push tops)

In the Traktor S4 software i could cue the track by using the Jogwheels, without it making the scratching sound.

In Traktor 2 i have to put the volume down to be able to cue the track silently.

So it’s not the same as it was in Traktor S4 software..

Worked with the scratch sound for me. I don’t see this as a problem either.

I can’t find that “Disable Jog Wheel Push” function in my TKS4 software… :disappointed:

Because you need to update to Traktor 2, original Pro S4 is discontinued.

+1 to everything padi has said so far.

I didnt really wanna start a new thread but if someone does come across this post. I hope they’ll be able to help me. All of a sudden I cant seem to scratch or nudge tracks which are playing with the Jog wheels on my S4.

If I scratch using the top plates or touch the outer rim of the jog while a track is playing it will only pitch bend. I can only scratch / nudge a track which is stopped.

How can I get back the default setting for the S4 jogs where I was able to pitch bend with the outer rim and scratch using the top plates of the jog ?

Preferences>Traktor Kontrol S4>jogwheel> unclick disable jogwheel push

Nuh had nothing to do with the “disable jog wheel push”

Restring and calibrating solved the issue for me.
