traktor question!
Im have some serious trouble with traktor Pro.. I have installed several controllers over the last few weeks and i think that may be most of my problems..
My question is can i un-install and re-install with out any registration problems?
AND… will it reinstall with the original factory presets? (like get rid of all the previous controllers files i installed)

what exactly is the trouble you’re having?
crashing, issues using just my PC’s speakers, volume only on one speaker, controller issues, you name it im having them.. lol… figured doing a reinstall will fix the problems..
AND… im also new to traktor pro, expecially the preference tab, so im stumbling thru this as best i can..
What computer and OS are you using? What are you doing when Traktor crashes? What controllers are you using? There is a mono switch in preferences, make sure that’s not checked. It will install to original factory presets.
I am watching this thread so please update us when you either reinstall or call NI and let us know the outcome.
Mainly using my PC as the interal mixer (no controller connected) i can only get 1 deck to have outputs.. also my PC speaker have a crackling noise when the deck A plays… (the other does have no sound what so ever)

Brand new PC i bought just to use for traktor ONLY!!! HP windows 7, intel duo2 core, 64bit
It crashes when i switch from my controller to the internal mixer to just use my PC
what soundcard are you using? something external like audio2? or the computers built in one?
if the 2nd, i think that’s your problem right there. traktor can be a bit fussy sometimes when it comes to soundcard switching and audio routing.
Just to be sure, check the following on Deck B (which has no sound): no FX plugged in that could remove the sound, filter and key off, gain ok, pan (long shot).
ok, i found the problem for this issue, my output was on monitor no master output, but i still have static sound in the background of the track playing? any ideas?
Bad speakers? Do you get the sound always or just in Traktor? If only in Traktor, do you get it on all four decks or just one deck? Is an FX turned on?
the computers right now.. but i just bought and audio4, and a new vci-100 SE from DJTT which is coming in on Tuesday..
This is another reason why im just wondering if i should start from scratch with the reinstall… get rid of all the previous controllers i had installed just to make damn sure i dont have all kinds of problems when i set up my new controller and audio card… Whats your thoughts Brad?
nah, speakers are ok, i used my media player on the PC and it works fine.
Im sure the problem is in trackor and me not being too computer savy PLUS new to traktor is the biggest problem right now… lol

starting from scratch seems best way to go imo, should clear all the errors out.
do this once audio 4 arrives as traktor install has a section for setting that up. once that’s all sorted, plugin the vci and load up the tsi. then add other controllers one at a time. build it up stage by stage.
