Trouble with Traktor 2.0

Greetings fellow DJ’s.

I am having a few issues with Traktor 2.0 that I would like to solve before I consider upgrading from a Kontrol S2 to a Kontrol S4. I started having these issues after unsuccessfully attempting to upgrade to Traktor 2.5

Thanks in advance…

  1. When I open Traktor from my desktop, I get the following message. “Could not read the default settings file for audio auto configuration. Please rerun the installer!” To the best of my knowledge (which isn’t much) I attempted to rerun the installer but nothing happened.

  2. Somehow the files underneath the sample decks have turned red. I can no longer use the Preperation, Demo tracks, Demo loops, or Scratch samples files and I have no idea why.

  3. I deleted all of the effects that Traktor comes with before I realized I wanted them. How do I get them back.

  4. I am thinking about just starting over from scratch. Should I just wipe my computer clean of Traktor than try again now that I am not a noob anymore?

So I did the clean install everyone. Using the above link, it was simple and fast. Best decision I ever made with s2. Traktor is back to default settings and all of my problems have been fixed. My crossfader is working again and everything is fully functional. If you have problems in the future, I highly recommend a clean swipe. I didn’t download a lot of music I no longer use so everything is nice and tight. Very happy!
