I had never been near Traktor or any kind of digital mixing software until January of this year. I got my S4, read the manual, spent a good deal of time on you tube and NI’s site and had no problem installing or using the software. I probably did more “optimization” than I likely needed to but I figured I would use the time I was waiting for my S4 in a productive fashion.
From what I have read on these forums, most of the people complaining about the software not working have little-to-no computer skills and think that an installation consists of install, next, next, next, finish. There also appears to be a high degree of laziness and an inappropriate expectation on what’s need on their part. You see this when someone like Yul posts his magic tricks and everyone wants the TSI served up on a plate to them. The laziness also manifests in peoples’ unwillingness to search for answers and instead type up their questions and complaints and wait for answers to come to them.
As far as forums go, this board has a great number of true experts that are willing to share and educate others. It’s just a pity that so many threads get derailed by individuals bitching that learning makes their head hurt and NI is the devil. That being said, the core players on here are amazing people, supporting and advancing an amazing product.
