Trigger finger (a viable mf replacement)

Trigger finger (a viable mf replacement)

So I don’t know if this is sacrelegious to post here but I feel like the m audio trigger finger with it’s knobs and faders would make a good model for one of those sacred custom midi fighters. Could those four faders be used as SUUPPEEER FAADEERS? Hmm just my late night thoughts.

Don’t kill me Ean I still love you

we are actually already in the process of replacing a well known artists trigger fingers with badass custom midifighters, watch this space.

yeah.. you can never emulate the tactil feeling of those arcade buttons
and you can solder faders to the mf..

Wonder who that is?

someone with a recent triggerfinger crisis?

could it be… skrillex?

Nope not skrillex, but after Chris had to supply him with a working unit after it failed before his show last night I think we will be getting in touch to suggest a switch up for him as well.

hmmmm, mr hawtin seemed to like it too

scrillex has connections to joel, who is starting to appeal to people en mass and is a geek at heart

people see both of their new favorite artist using this thing with arcade buttons that does cool things to music…

good move DJTT. this is a tactic used by pioneer. i can already see the MF becoming the drum pad of the future.

So could you replace the pads on the trigger finger with arcade buttons? That would cost like 30 bucks

You’ll have to make major modifications to the body… And it’ll be a whole lot bigger… It wouldn’t be worth it, unless your pressed for money and already own a trigger finger.

I agree

I’m just pressed for money and want a custom midi fighter haha

You could make a wooden top for a trigger finger if you’re in a pinch that would probably work.

There’s no reason that you have to go for arcade buttons. Pads are also excellent.

not sure you can achive superfaders with the trigger’s firmware, besides it’s faders are regula 0-127 MIDI, fast cuts will throw away any relative fiddling

That’s true, I just felt the need to point out that there’s more out there than just arcade buttons. Arcade buttons are cool but unless you’re doing some really tight and fast cue point drumming they ain’t all that necessary.
