Update LED rings on APC40 using Traktor

does anybody have any experience with led-rings on apc40 and send monitor state? it seems not to work or i misunderstood something.

what i want to do is switch the knobs between eqs and effects (using a modifier). function wise it works fine but everytime i switch to the other state the led-rings show the values of the previous state until i turn the knob.

now i added “send monitor state” to the buttons that change the modifier but it didn’t help. any ideas?
