USB MIDI arcade button footswitches. 4 button-$29 6 button-$39

Found these on ebay while looking for midi foot switches. Multi layer control as well as a 6.3mm jack for a wah pedal or other add on. I think I want one. http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=221163340968&index=0&nav=SEARCH&nid=07647439551

Here is the link to the four button version with demonstration videos. http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=221163324148&cmd=VIDESC

I asked the seller to join the forum and talk about his controllers.

Fantastic. More affordable, solid, and seemingly more functional than those roll-up DDR mats I’ve seen. Nice find.

Hi
I making this stuff.
Thanks for the forum thread and the invitation:slight_smile:
I’ll aks any question of course.
Mainly i developed this controllers guitar related, but i’m open any idea for the future development if DJs need special functions, special midi commands or any stuff.

Regards
Thomas

This is extremely cool! I especially like how you incorporated the pedal functionality.
If you ever build a smaller (I’m happy with 1 or 2 buttons), but wireless version, it’s an instant buy for me.

My next development is the wireless version:slight_smile:
Coming soon (in January i hope)

Hi, this midi controller seems just what I’ve been looking for, any easy way to buy it from Ukraine?

There’s good reason for the DDR mats mind you :stuck_out_tongue:. Club floors are wet! Much less likely to stain than wood, easier to clean

That being said, good find duder. I might think about picking one up later for some cheap control over Guitar Rig

The body if these controllers are plastic. One could always tie a clear plastic bag around them though.

that looks pretty awsome! i was just chatting with padi today about a friend of mine looking for a usb/midi footswitch/footpedal to use with ableton for looping his own stuff i.g. guitar/bass/drums/microphones etc.

linked him to this thread.
big ups!

Hi Thomas,

I am trying to contact you via eBay but somehow it does not work. The links above are also out of date again but from your name (Guitar Fun Stuff) I think you are the one selling the midi footswitches from Hungary.

I wanted to know if and (1) how do you program the buttons to send specific messages (and what midi messages you can send), (2) if the device retains the programmed presets you last did even if used without a computer, and (3) if you think it will work connected to a iConnectMIDI4+ USB host port. The iConnectMIDI accepts USB devices and works standalone without a computer or iPad/iPhone - do you think it will work standalone connected to this midi interface with the last saved presets previously programmed in a computer (if your devices are programmable of course)? If your devices are not programmable what messages does it send specifically?

Thank you!

Hopefully he still gets on here. I just noticed that he is now selling an all metal variation.

They are more expensive than the items you linked, but if you look at keyboard/synth accessories we have dozens of different types of pedal systems available. Many are MIDI too.

For example this older Behringer thing Amazon.com: Behringer FCB1010 Ultra-Flexible MIDI Foot Controller with 2 Expression Pedals and MIDI Merge Function

The main switches can be stomped on all day as triggers, and then the two pedals can be assigned as sliders/knobs/etc.

Here is my ebay page, you can find my products there
