VCI-100 - Instant Problem :(

VCI-100 - Instant Problem :disappointed:

Ok.

Just bought a VCI-100 which I’ve been waiting weeks for. Updated LE to Traktor Pro and was all geared up to get stuck into doing my own mapping tonight however, I’ve already came across a problem I’ve no idea how to fix:

I’m using the mapping that Traktor Pro has pre-set for the VCI-100 but I’ve deleted a lot of it out with the plan of doing my own.

The problem I’m having is the button below the 4th “Effect Parameter” knob is called CH01.Note.D5.. and my effect button below the small black balance knob is also called CH01.Note.D5..

This basically make one of the buttons unusable as it will only ever do what the other one does. I’ve also noticed a similar problem with another button, I’ve just not bothered listing it. There could be more.

Surely this can’t be right? I mean, surely? it makes no sense?? I’ve had a quick look on google and I can’t seem to find anyone else with this problem. All I can think is it’s something to do with the fact I’m using the pre installed mapping that comes with Traktor Pro for the VCI-100.

Anyone got any ideas of how fix this or what I’ve done wrong. Any help would be really appreciated. Really want to get stuck into using this machine but I’ve had to stop before really even getting started!!!

Thanks

That’s a common 1.2 firmware issue

Cool. Thanks for the response mate.

However, are you saying there’s no fix for this? Between Traktor and the VCI, I’ve spent a sh*t load of money in the past two weeks and I’ll be a bit dissapointed if that’s the case.

Again, thanks for your help

The fix is to update to the 1.3 firmware.

If you need help

Nice one mate, thanks for that.

I’m at work at the moment but I’ll check out those links when I get in.

It is a bad that vestax themselves have never offered a fix for this and it has had to be a community like this that have created a fix and a device to fix it.

…or is that wrong ? If he called vestax will they do something about it?

I guess I’d agree with you.

A huge part of the success of the VCI is to do with the fact people are buying it to use with Traktor (and of course other software).

I sold my APC40 to buy this unit because it was more specific to Traktor and must say I was quite surprised that only 5 minutes into mapping it I was finding these problems.
