vci-100 reverse crossfader possible?

vci-100 reverse crossfader possible?

Hi!

This is probably very basic but I could only find very little info on this issue: I want to reverse the crossfader on my vci-100. Unfortunately there is no such option on the device itself. I found a post by Ean from 2007 where he says:

However I don’t completely understand what this means or how this works. Which small knobs is Ean referring to, the ones in the top right corner of the device? And if so, how do I assign the Deck X fader function to it?
I was wondering if there is anybody here that has actually reversed the crossfader on their vci-100 and maybe can explain in a little more detail how to set this up properly? I’m using Traktor Pro 1.1.

Cheers!

in traktor scratch pro there is a/b/c/d beside both sides of the xfader, you could use your mouse to switch them around to reverse the xfader(which is called “hamster”. if you don’t want to use your mouse to do it you can create a midi mapping for your controller, if you use one. orrrrrrrrrr…if you want your xfader permenantly hamstered, i bet you could take the back off of your controller and unscrew the xfader and put it in backwards!!!

i hope this helps you, PEACE

ummm how about just going into trakto midi settings, and under the crossfader mapping checking the “invert” box?

that works nicely. i never figured it would be so simple, thanks!

yes, that can be done, did it by accident when i took the faceplate off for respray

Out of curiousity why do u want to invert ur cross faderon the vci100? baby scratches for transition purposes or what?
