Voxoa S60 Midi Controller?
stumbled across this on youtube, never heard of the company or this product. The date on the youtube vid says August 2010.

Rebrand of the MPX-10, I have the VOXOA version. Great controller with lots of functionality but a tad bit expensive if you don’t have software to run it as a MIDI controller. Works standalone, all switches and pots are very well made, full metal top plate construction.
Tell us more about the price..
Well I live in China and bought it there, with a bag it cost me 3800 RMB which equates to roughly 587 US. To my understanding of prices of controllers over there most controllers in this price range come with software (Traktor, VDJ etc.) This controller doesn’t come with any software whatsoever but comes with mappings for both traktor/pro and VDJ.
Although it doesn’t come with software the controller is much better build than anything else in the price range and comes with a lot more functionality. The sound card is pretty good considering the overall price and comes with both XLR and RCA outputs. When connected to the computer to be used as a controller its possible to use the mixer section separated from the computer (analog), so you don’t have to worry about accuracy.

and it really works without laptop? just mp3 from usb stick?
It is a pretty good deal to be honest. The build quality is up to par with the Vestax series and it has a lot more functionality.
Works without a laptop as two CDJs and a mixer. MP3 from USB stick or HDD and it has two USB ports. You also have the functionality to run one of the decks from USB and the other from the laptop as MIDI controller. The large light up displays only work in MP3 mode though. Jogs are also touch sensitive but I don’t know if they are accurate enough to scratch with cause frankly I don’t know how to scratch

looks better than the SCS 4dj besides the fact that there are no waveforms, but hey, people DJ’d before waveforms.
True that but then if you use it as a MIDI controller it won’t make too much of a difference. The only reason I find having the standalone mode handy is if the laptop decides to poop out or if i’m going completely mobile. The way I have mine setup is with VDJ and my custom mapping, waveforms make it so much easier so I have a button mapped to changing the size of the waveform so I can zoom out to match up the song parts then zoom in to tweak.
I think it looks great for something that runs off of usb. Thats almost amazing.

I saw the citronic one in their catalogue going back months now and wondered why there was no reviews etc ..
@eddie, where bouts in china did you get it ? Reckon there’s any chance you think of finding somewhere in HK as planning a trip back there soon as I can (or somewhere within a bus / ferry journey).
this thing is also rebranded by American Audio. Its called Versadeck and will be available soon for 399€.

Just watched the Vids on AA’s site … looks like a damn cool piece of kit for the money. IF you don’t mind manually beatmatching when you’re not hooked up to a lappie a better deal than the Stanton perhaps - least it has inputs as well 
Reminds me to ask what ever happened the Gemini CTRL47 ? Which looked like it offered pretty much all the Pioneer did for half the price (and i’m sure quality )

Random DJ shop in Beijing. They sold all type of gear including second hand ones, the one I picked up was the display model cause it was the last of their stock, shop owners said that VOXOA intended to release its own version or something. Well depending on where you are why not just pick up the Citronic version, if thats not possible I think it would be quick likely you will be able to pick one up there, HK is known for its large electronic markets.
The good thing about these things are that the rebrands all have the same MIDI code output, easy to make mappings. The mapping I use is a mixture of the one that Citronic put out and the one that VOXOA made.
True bout the beatmatching part without a laptop but hey, when used with a laptop is when it really shines.

But there is an American Audio Dealer and guessing they may get one into stock.
Voxoa S60=Citronic MP-X10=American Audio Versadeck=Synq DMC2000=Akiyama Syncron. Got one… no real complaints here. Built like a tank, jog wheels are not quite true (very slight (>1mm) up & down movement but it doesn’t affect them at all - they are centered correctly). Headphone cue slider (to go from deck A>B) has a really severe switch type curve when using in MP3 mode (so getting deck A quiet in the phones while cueing B is a tad tricky, but do-able (just need a few secs to judge it right)… isn’t an inherent problem with the fader (it works nicely in Traktor with minimal dead-zone), so may be fixed with a firmware update.
Talking of firmware update, I’m about to start a new thread. The Sync/Synchron units have beat-synched FX, whereas on the Citonic (my unit) the fx are timed in ms… annoying having to calculate 60/bpm all the time to get the ms value of a beat - also impossible to go from 2/1 to 1/1 quickly. Also the Synchron has autoloop (like Traktor’s), so no need to be highly (frame) accurate on loops, and again can switch from 2 beats to 4 quickly (as I have read it). Tried flashing my unit with the Synchron firmware.. it doesn’t recognise, so am going to start thread to see how this can be done/hacked!
