What is Marco Carola using here?

I believe its a delay pedal, on the top left of mixer, and I see he using it as send & return with the xone 92, is that correct? I have been trying to get this kind of delay, as im using ableton and traktor with my xone 92, and would like to use this kind of delay over traktor.

Anyone know of a delay plugin that i can achieve this with? or know what delay pedal he is using? I also noticed another device on the bottom left of the mixer too..

Would a delay plugin just connect to the aux 1 or return of the xone 92?

Thanks!

Have you tried Traktor’s various Delay FX in Advanced mode yet?

Have a look here that would answer your question

And he uses a BOSS digital delay pedal (dd-6 maybe?)
If you want a traktor alternative, try the tape delay in advanced mode.

By Advanced Mode, do you mean, instead of having 3 traktor FX, you just have 1, and then 3 different parameters for that effect? I;ve gone into Traktor settings>effects> and then have 2 ‘Group’ FX, and 2 ‘single’ Fx.. is that advanced mode!?

Because I am using that atm, so one side of 1 Kontrol X1 has 3 FX, and then the other side, has just 1 effect, and im using all 3 knobs to control different parameters for that effect. Using the T3 delay, to get that Dubfire rattlesnake effect.

And @Yul, ah thats the one.. i was thinking digi-delay. Really thinking about getting one, cheers will bookmark that vid, thanks man!

Would that be all I need? I can just hook that delay pedal to my xone 92, then thats it.. no other bits needed or software?

Make sure whatever pedal you get has dual/stereo input+output.

Yes, I’m going to get that BOSS delay pedal, that Yul linked a video too!

Wait, stereo? This pedal says MONO?

The Boss DD 6 has dual inputs.

Ok, little confused. I just need to make sure it has dual stereo outputs and inputs yes?

This is the delay pedal: http://www.gak.co.uk/en/boss-dd-7/18170?gclid=CPWzg8SNhr0CFerpwgod62cAOw

But it says MONO under the I/O..

Channel A is used for mono setups. Both A and B are used for stereo setups.

Okay so I can’t find that delay pedal with all stereo I/O… So Carola must be using a different one or!?
I just want to hook it up to my Xone 92 return / aux

What do you mean you “can’t find it”? The Boss pedal has stereo I/O.

Boss DD-5 , 6 & 7 are stereo. DD-2 has stereo out but only one input. DD-3 has 2 outputs but one is Direct Out.
Great pedals for clean delay had loads of em in the past.

They are easy to find.

I was confused, because you said make sure it had dual “stereo” I/O, and the delay pedal on question (Boss Digital delay dd-7) has ‘moon’ written by the I/O’s, so I’m a bit thrown off…

Is this delay pedal on question fine for me me to use with Xone 92 send / return?

Forgive me if I’m coming across dumb, still got a lot to learn

The DD-7 is the one I’m going for, it’s definitely the fx sound I’m trying to achieve, based off that Carola video. Would be cool if I could get plugin imitation off it so I can try it out in Ableton, and then map my X1 to control some of the params.

What is under the Pedal? With the jog wheel. It’s effects of some sort. Barem uses it as well.

Marco, Adam Beyer, Loco Dice and many more use the Red Sound Digital Loop Station for their 3rd Channel Loops.
