What kind of giggs do you do mostly??
Im going to get myself back out in the game the next month or so, well at least try anyway. When i used to play out i mostly just did the whole night in the pubs/clubs i worked in, apart from one where i shared the night with 1 or 2 other dj’s which i found to be a right laugh and probably more fun than working alone for 4-5 hours lol… my question is whats your most popular gig, just an hour set somewhere or the whole night at the venue your gigging at?
i do alot of private parties and such. but i do love tag teaming with a friend or too and playing off of their tracks. its like a game 
I usually do 2 hours at a night club. There’s usually 3 DJ’s in a night and it varies in what order we go. It’s a lot of fun 
Sometimes we go two at a time since we’ve got a DVS rig and my s4.
Every Friday i did a 5 hours tag team set in a big uptown bar with my mate
And on a saturday i could be doing anything between 2-5 Hours in the nightclub
I started doing small club/Bars, alone or with friends. Then we did Tag teams in those places. Then we founded DJ group and our own dj booking agency (if you can call 3djs and couple of mcs that) just to look little bit more proffesional to bar/club owners. After a while we started to run our own promoting, parties and renowned club nights. Now, we are doin all that.
Tuesday (Hip-Hop,Chill, House) Wednesday (Disco stuff, general fucking around and having fun with porn samples) Friday or Saturday (TechHouse, ElectroClash). Sometimes tag team but mostly 10-2 solo. I loved the weeknights, so much more intimate and requests seemed to be a higher caliber.
Sometimes i’d go to a sheesha bar and play cassettes on an old POS Sony. Had all kinds of shit from second hand stores/flea markets. A friend would bring a TT and play Ravi Shankar LPs backwards while I bust out some Cyndi LAuper. hehe, fun times
I still do gigs in my bedroom.
at least the bathroom never has a line, and I never have to tip for the beer.
Nightclub only, always me and another DJ for the whole 4 hours. Quite a big club see’s us regularly get 500-700 people in.
i miss the club i used to work in, was called Mr Smiths in Warrington, they used to do the hitman and her there in the 80’s lol… used to regularly get 2000+ every saturday night in there and i loved it there are some pics of the club on my fan page on facebook..
Havnt played out properly as was a hobby but really want to play out now, thing is i was only mixing hardstyle / hard trance up until a few months ago and there isnt a big club sceen for that really but since getting the S4, would love to bang out an electro house or breaks set. Must try harder to actually play out lol!

Mostly bars and second rooms in a nightclub - suits the style I play - I usually do 2-3 hrs straight, or occasionally tag team with a couple of likeminded types.
spun all over boston from suite to felt to mantra to underbar. i spin mostly, hip hop, house, top 40, reggaeton, dancehall, international, arabic, and bhangra. i have djed fashion show, bdays, weddings of different traditions and cultures, graduation parties and so forth,
Mostly bars. Started out doing a monthly thing in Camden, then moved on to a weekly residency in Angel, which was fridays 9-2. Now I do odd bits here and there, bars mostly, did a fashion launch recently that was really fun. Its usually just me for 5-6 hours, but sometimes back-to-back with my mate.
Bars, clubs, 21st, 30ths, engagements. Ive done 3 weddings and a funeral and several baptisms, a divorce party and my all time favourite was an anne summers party.

Just played occasionally, school partys which my little sister arranged, wednesday club events in stockholm and bars on fridays or saturdays. but hell,
so many djs in this town. The payment is usually like.. 60-70 bucks for 10-3..
