mine gives the -51 (bars to cursor) on the wave form. Perhaps it’s a setting?
Would love to find it. Check out this screen shot. Twitpic
No matter what I do - turn on or off snap, quantize, etc it always just shows “snap”.
EDIT: It only shows this when the track is playing.
I dont like how the demo version after first run it then will never play the songs at correct speeds, instead it runs them at 16bpm
Wave forms
Although I think the waveforms look great I think that they should have still left the classic view as an option. With tracks with allot going on you dont see the whole track view that well. Another solution would be to make the whole track view a little larger. I like seeing the drops & breaks in my track. Maybe Im just not used to them yet
I don’t like the glitchy tick at low bpms, the incosistancy with the waveform colors when zoomed in spectrum mode, the fact there is no soft takeover when using timecode on the pitch fader and lastly I don’t like that when you stop a deck that is set to master the master clock automatically becomes the master. Along with that I haven’t really figured out which of the two sync features I can actually practically use, probably neither of them. Apart from those setbacks I love it tho!
SC update successful - then it tells me it is ‘receiving unknown data’ ![]()
try zooming out and using another color scheme
I have tried SC update for 10 hours now… not even fucking kidding.
Have you just tried canceling it? My SC wouldn’t update and I tried it three or four times then just hit cancel and it just launched opened right up and let me activate the demo I had installed
I just said no and it allowed me to activate…I don’t get what everyone else is complaining about.
I did a fresh install though.
Do other people get the option to not update?
Im not somuch talking aboout the larger waveform but the waveform of the entire track.
The Demo Loops and Demo one-shots are missing, 2 Demo tracks are present.
Does someone have the same experience?
If you go to the native instruments folder it asks if you want to copy collection, history etc. I hit that & I have everything I used to have including the archive of previous set cue points.
They don’t show up in the track collection, they’re in the file browser. There’s a shortcut to that folder already set up.
Also, they kinda suck.
Not keen on how you can’t have the master clock, fx units and recorder all on the screen even if you have the space for it…
ok so i figured it out, delete demo/service center/traktor 2 if youve already tried to install it and failed
reboot, re dl the traktor 2 software from NI and run installer… right before restart itll ask you to run service center (which i hadnt ran it at this point in the install before … so this might be why i kept messing up.) SC popped up, asked to do a self update (tried once or twice no luck) said no, Traktor 2 popped up (before traktor 2 wasnt showing up) so if your having this problem, try that. it worked for me.
im happy now. time to go back to bed for a few hrs then play with it until work time
Yep…got that last night too.
I said that when i went from tsp1 to pro S4, i have a 17" screen that looked brilliant on tsp but s4 and tsp2 they have to be hidden for some stupid reason lol
Really dont like that. Dont know what they were thinking.
Two things I don’t like at all:
-1-
The headphone volume and monitoring functions got integrated into the crossfader bar? That’s just daft! I play psytrance and hardly ever use the crossfader, so I always hide it, it scores a lot of space on my screen. Now I’m forced to sacrifice screen space because NI glued the monitoring controls to the crossfader. Don’t get it, there’s plenty of dead space in the global section for that.
-2-
Someone mentioned something about the reverb freeze earlier. Is it a bug or intentionally the way it’s now?
In TP1 I have the three parameter knobs set to 7 o’clock/5 o’clock/5 o’clock and the Freeze button engaged. Whenever I then activate the Reverb it would chop the tune nicely with a reverb fade-out. I use this function A LOT and is crucial to my way of mixing. Now in TP2, if I do the exact same thing it simply chops the tune with dead silence, I might as while press stop! I’m sure this must be an error?
