or truck or motorcycle. What was your first street legal vehicle after you got your license?
The first car that was mine and not my dad’s truck was a 1971 super beetle.
I haven’t scanned the hard copy of my first car’s pictures but here’s how it looked like and color except for the wheels.

4 speed manual with a sometimes working electronic overdrive. with the seats down i could lie down in the back and not touch the back door or the front seats. It even had those killer spoked wheels. The ladies were foaming all over the place when I drove past.
my first street legal drivable vehicle was a 1974 Chevrolet Vega hatchback. I do not have any pictures of it
1985 50cc bike, needles to say it gave more trouble than joys but i learned to fix it myself

The year was 1999 my last year at college (high school) it was 1988 Toyota Starlet, 5 speed 4 door hatchback with a sunroof to boot 
It was imported from Fiji, & she only had air conditioning, No heating. Needless to say there was some pretty cold mornings and days hooning around in that tin.
never been much into cars, was a bit mean to this one. Cooked the motor twice (true story) side swiped a lamp post. Hot boxed the shit out of it :eek: But she Just kept on goin (with the help of two extra motors of course 
)
handed it down to my brother. who a few years later sold it to some french tourists. He claims he saw it about a year ago in another part of N.Z (dents from side swipe still showing). Glad she is still getting someone from A-B

When I turned 16 I bought a new black 1978 Honda Shadow 750. (Two or three year loan. I don’t remember for how much, just that it cost more than my car. I’ve been in debt every since.)
(Couldn’t find a picture of one, but here’s an '83. And if memory serves me, that’s what mine looked like. Except mine had a fairing/windshield & hard saddlebags.)
And a used black on red 1970 Chevy Chevelle SS 454. ($2,000 cash)
I think the only differences from this photo is the hood tie downs had a cable attached to each. Mine had a black interior. And the wheels & tires (Car was 100% factory stock.) looked nothing like that.
I totaled the car about six months after I got it. Replaced it with a new red 1979 Fiat X19 (Hard top convertible.) with a black interior.
First car was a 93 Chevy Lumina.
Now I drive a 93 Pontiac Grand Am.
Is that a Datsun ZX?
