what would your rider be?

mine would be

1 = working mixer that must have fader caps and crossfader adjust
2 = 2 technics 1200/1210’s (vestax or stanton direct drives will do)
3 = well lite dj booth or light availiable for pluging in sound card
4 = a laptop stand in a sturdy place
5 = room so my Maschine 40cm by 40cm worktop space
6 = a member of door staff situalted near the dj booth and will deal with any issues
7 = free beer for me and a friend (we wont take the piss)

I’d just copy and paste Diplo’s.

The gorilla is especially important to me.

  1. Laptop stand.
  2. Enough space for my controller.
  3. Six pack of water bottles. I don’t drink when I’m at work.
  4. Security at the booth entrance.

my rider, book me for a hardcore gig. CD, Vinyl, USB or DVS ok, and a US 120 plug. thats it.

I admire you for that, but i feel a better connection to a crowd when i am as messed up as them.

however, i drink pretty heavily at my bartending job also…so might just be me

This is my current rider… nothing exciting. All my flight and hotel requirements are in my contract…

  1. Technical Equipment

PURCHASER agrees to provide a fully functional DJ booth with:

a. one(1) Allen & Heath Xone : 92 Mixer or Pioneer DJM900

b. two(2) high powered monitors/speakers for the dj booth area with separate volume control from the main house speakers. Must be in good working order with no distortion or feedback. In the event that a monitor is not available, or not in fully working order, the artist cannot perform and purchaser will still be liable to pay all booking fees.

c. two(2) standard electrical outlets for artist’s laptop, midi controllers, and accessories.

d. Cleared area (at least 2ft x 2ft) next to the mixer on the right hand side for placement of artist’s laptop and midi controllers, also include a laptop stand if the booth and area for controllers and laptop is cramped. (see attached PDF “TECHNICAL SETUP.PDF” for expected layout.)

e. two (2) clean small towels (small hand towels).

Artist requires sound check at least 3 hours prior to event.

Promoter must provide adequate security in and around the performance area in order to protect the artist and equipment. Artist request no people in booth during their performance other than promoter and staff, bracelets should be provided by the club to designate people allowed in booth area and will be allowed per the artist request. Bottled water must be supplied to artist throughout the performance set.

  1. VIP Area:

Promoter should provide artist with a secure VIP area for before and after performance, for relaxation, to store personal belongings and equipment.

  1. Food & Drink at the Event:

• 1 bottle of Grey Goose Vodka
• small bottle of Patron Silver (350ml)
• mixers for alcohol including: orange juice, cranberry juice, club soda, and red bull (5 cans minimum)
• 5 bottles of spring water (must be non-sparkling, and no purified water)
• bottled Heineken Light beer
• ice
• cups or glasses

  1. Marketing Support

Where applicable, the PURCHASER if they have a website shall agree to provide a link directly to the Artist’s website and other pages and display a flyer of the event. On venue and Purchaser/ Promoter’s facebook, the profile and cover photos must both represent the event flyer and/or the artist at least five (5) days prior to the event and up through the event.

My rider would actually be quite simple as i’m a simple person to deal with..

Currently it would be:

2 CDJ1000 mk3’s or 2000’s.
1 DJM700, 800, 850, 900 or 2000 (If the condition is good i’ll still play on a DJM600 like i do every week at my residency).
2 monitors at ear level (I’m 6ft tall).
Enough table space room to fit a CD wallet, bag and some other things.
6 pack of non sparkle cold bottle water.
Beer on request (i don’t drink during gigs but i often like 1 at the start and 1 near the end).
1 pack of paper hand towels.

Eventually:

3 CDJ2000 (i’m working on 3 deck routines and planning on upgrading to 2k’s this year)
1 DJM900 or 2000.
2 monitors at ear level (I’m 6ft tall).
Enough table space room to fit a CD wallet, bag and some other things.
