i just love all the shows, sets and guests of BBC’s Radio 1, and this probably the best site to download whole shows. (I actualy musicaly grew up on Marry-Anne Hobbs show Breezeblock, now called Experimental or somethin)
for certain genres, my favorite music discovery site (not download site, since blogs don’t typically post any mp3 above 128k) is the hype machine (www.hypem.com)
It’s based on user’s own collections, so some of the tags and labels could be really off(most aren’t), but there is a huge selection of music and can be used behind massive firewalls like my work has
check out your local club community forums on clubvibes or clubzone. If your city has a local rave forum check that out, in vancouver we’ve got http://www.fnk.ca
I wondered where the Breezeblock sessions went, used to love those shows (I think all time favourites were Mr. Scruff’s 1st one, Lemon Jelly and Roots Manuva)
Oh and for tune digging

etchshop (truthoughts online store)
Boomkat
Chemical Records
Beatportal (great for interviews with influential artists)
Youtube Channels (I forget that all good sources of info usually have a youtube channel you can subscribe to….DJ Mag, DJ Techtools, etc)
DJ Techtools (seriously….amazing collection of knowledge, forward thinking innovationists and overall futurists)
KVR (more geared towards production and VST but you’ve got some seriously smart and knowledgeable people on there with a wealth of info)
The big player communities such as: Native Instruments Forums, Ableton Forums (most great products usually have a dedicated cult following of DIY kids who make it their business to open up new worlds of thought for potential with these products that lead to new technology and ideas so be sure to check out forums for products you respect: i.e. the VCI, Lemur, BCR yahoo community, M-audio, etc)
