When does the Traktor Z4 come out?

When does the Traktor Z4 come out?

I want to upgrade my setup but I want the z4 but I don’t know when it comes out. Does anyone know?

I’m pretty sure that anyone with the faintest idea of it is under NDA.

Tomorrow

I smell troll coming !

It has not been announced yet. I am gonna buy a new mixer soon. It’ll be the z4 or the RMX-80, whichever comes out first. I absolutely love my Mackie but I need something to take out to gigs and well… I absolutely love my mackie. :stuck_out_tongue:

NI hasn’t even hinted at a Z4. Has it?

This!

But seriously, don’t expect anybody who knows that to be sharing any info in public… They have contract to keep it silent.

When I get my grubby mitts on one, I’ll be cracking it open to install an Audio 4 inside, along with replacing two of the dipole switches with tripoles for Timecode support, just for shits and giggles

Totally agree with Stewe you ll know this when NI want you to know this

I would expect a standalone media player from NI before a Z4.

Shit, I’m desperate for this to happen!!

I wouldn’t expect a standalone NI player anytime soon. What would be the market for it?

Too low quality for booth gear, and you may as well bring a laptop with Traktor if you’re bringing gear at all.

Bottom line is, NI is not prepared to go toe to toe with pioneer. They would instead prefer to work alongside pioneer ensuring that NI products are compatible with the industry standard. This makes more sense from a sales point of view. The z4 may be a dream for all of us but its just not a feasable reality. The price would have to be set too high to compensate for the low volume of units which would sell. Maybe in a couple years when NI is a household name.

I really don’t understand how these rumors perpetuate htemselves >.>

Not even an announcement and everyone believes the Z4 is getting made.

S4 mkII would be more probable…

…metal pots and RGB buttons.

Maybe better pots, but I doubt metal.

Yeah me too. Just saying what I’d like to see coming.

I know, i know… even though deep down inside i hope NI to redesign the whole thing from the ground up. Bigger full metal case design, USB 3.0 NHL support, Bigger jogwheels with settable magnetic breaking and rotation indication lighting, full sized velocity sensitive RGB pads, two color displays on top of the decks with full settings of what’s displayed (realtime waveform, track names, effect parameters), two x-pads or one xy pad, asymmetrical layout (à-la pioneer controller style), touch sensitive rotary encoders & EQ knobs with LEDs around them (like the ns7 II).
With the current tech, it IS possible to do. And they’d pretty much monopolyze the whole controller industry with it.

But would it sell?
And at what price point?
