Which of the following 2 setups is good ?

Setup 1) Pioneer XDJ-RX All-in-One Controller

OR

Setup 2) Pioneer DJM-750 Mixer + 2 Pioneer CDJ-350’s

Both the 1st and the 2nd setup cost nearly the same price. The 2nd setup of Player+Mixer costs nearly 100$ more. But that’s fine.

Which of the above 2 setup is ideal for a DJ who is of beginner level but is looking to step up as well.

Should one look for DJ gear outside Pioneer? Are there any issues considering that one has to eventually move to Club-Festival standard PIONEER gear some day.

Please do give me your thoughts/suggestions on this. Would be of great help.

You’re less likely to get frustrated and give up if you go with an all in one. Beat matching is tough.

I would personally go the cdjs combo, but instead of the djm 750 I would get the xone 23c. No need for a 4 channel when your starting out

I would get the 2nd option in case you ever want to upgrade decks.

It also doesn’t hurt to learn how to set up a two CDJ and mixer combo. Plus as Kwal said, you’ll have more room to grow and expand in the future.

having never used the rx I can’t speak to that but the 350s are pretty much garbage imo. I would probably opt for the RX.

I would go with option 2 but with a DJM-800, the 750 has no filters. Isn’t it too much money for something without filters?

good

learn to mix without FX first

That’s a pretty large chunk of cash to be spending on your first ever setup, but I’m not gonna give you a lecture on why you shouldn’t spend that much starting out and blah blah blah. I think it would be a much better idea to go for the all in one since you are a beginner. It will be much easier to learn beatmatching, and you’ll probably be able to read the phrasing of the songs better too.

Go with the CDJs.
