Why do I get audio drop out in Ableton

Hi all

Maybe you guys have the same problem, but every so often my Ableton starts to choke up and then audio just starts to choke out. Its as if Im playing a scratched CD where the audio just keeps stuttering and it makes me have to quit and restart ableton. Im on ableton 7.0.3 if that helps.

How much RAM do you have??? What kind of processor???
Also try increasing the latency on your soundcard. (Slight changes can make quite a difference)
And you could try adjusting you cpu plugin buffer size.

thanks for the suggestions I’ll be sure to try them out. Im on an old ass piece of shit laptop with 1 bar of 1 gig ram and 1 bar of 512 ram. Single intel centrino processor at 1.7ghz I believe. Time for an upgrade if my wallet is permitting.
