Win XP optimization guide for Digital Audio Software

Guys ,

I am facing some issues with traktor and my pc… see Post:

I found this nice optimization guide for using a win xp machie as a Digital Audio Workstation. I thought I had done enough tweeking, but here are defently some new tricks for real optimization. I have not finished yet so I can´t tell you right now if my issues are solved. But sure its worth to take a look. On the same site you can find tips for vista also. Hope it helps:

Which software are you running? Did you notice changes after following the guide? I am not sure about turning off the virtual memory though, have you done this?

Thanks

I highly recomend Black Viper’s XP Optimization guide at http://www.blackviper.com/WinXP/supertweaks.htm. I’ve followed it for years and my system has been topnotch.

yes thats true blackviper is really good too can tell you which services to turn off saves a lot on ressources

the one and only bible: http://www.musicxp.net/dnn/

this site is the OLDEST of them, and if you just follow those simple steps you get 100% if not more performance points

Thanks Nemo, I will review and apply all this and hopefully my sound issue will be gone…

Gosh, to think I’ve been wasting my time following the wrong bibles.
