if it’s too good to be true…
but seriously, they’ve been in business since 1997 and only registered their domain last year?

seems fishy to me…
I wouldn’t do it if they only accept payment via Western Union. Too easy for them to just take your money with no guarantees.
my thoughts exactly, and thanks for the domain lookup, hadnt occured to me,
and @ freakuency - yeah also very true,
right, onwards with the quest to find a ‘student friendly’ priced VCI-100!
try ebay - I got mine factory b-stock for $375 from “unique squared inc.”
tell me about it bro… ![]()
get on ebay!
if you’re lucky, you’ll get s one for an absolute steal at some point, just be patient ![]()
Yeah ebay or craiglist is your best bet. I got mine for 275 it was the mixvibes edition and he listed it under vci-100mv so no one jumped on the deal.
SCAM SPAM - editing the post so people from DJTT dont get suckered into the site
@n2hf1st & belchman & fa5ky - yeah been watching ebay for quite a while, had to let several go because there just outside my price range, title of ‘broke student’ is soo shite, thanks for the advice, also good to know about the mix vibes edition wasnt aware of that,
@BentoSan - sorry! had a moment of madness, thinking there was a slim possiblity it was real!
aye, gotta keep watching and waiting, just irritating because ive got a gig in a couple of months thats much more low profile to stuff normally, so wouldv been a really good opportunity to have given the VCI-100SE its first ‘spin’ so to speak, i know t scratch pro fairly well in combination with a midi keyboard for effects and loops but feel im gonna want to have some time to really get to know the VCI-100
Craigslist is definitely your best bet if you’re looking for “student friendly” pricing. I got mine last summer for $200 in perfect working condition. Just a couple of cosmetic scuff marks. If you’re getting an overlay from DJTT, even that won’t matter.
yeah, well ive been watching the UK equivalent Gumtree, want to try and avoid international shipping if possible, but still not against it if the price was right,
but with little success, found one on there that was a possibility and i couldve collected it! but no response from the seller,
yeh man, you’ve gtta be really careful with Gumtree… I experienced it when I was trying to get myself some CDJs - found a couple of realistic ads advertising a whole pioneer package for like £600. Found out they wanted to post it, and refused to chat about it over the phone and stuff. Poor bastards who get caught out with that kinda thing… I’d only buy from there if you can go and collect, and pay cash in hand!
eBay all the way ![]()
for best laughs watch the above one first to further understand whats going on within this one below.
@ livefaststephen nice1 on the clips an yeah keep rubbing it in ![]()
i want a VCI-100! but yeah definitely had a moment of insanity actually considering getting in touch with them
and definitely man, ive got some good stuff off gumtree, but like you say, always ask to meet face to face, inspect the kit and pay in cash.
post not meant in a
rubbing it in
fashion man.. just educating our respected pears. - seeing that it appears we’re a chosen target of these fools ploys.
When in doubt, just mail em and ask a question.
You will quickly see how dodgey they are.
What exactly is “factory B stock”?
I’ve seen a lot of things listed really cheap as factory b stock, but I’m not entirely clear on what it means.
EDIT: Nevermind, google is my friend.
