XOne 2d
Who has a Xone 2d on here, I have been searching everywhere to see if the jogdials can be used for pitch bend or if they control other things.
Does anyone use this and mix live?I know it’s midi and its able to map etc, but who uses it just semi live and uses pitch ajust to nudge tracks forward or backwards etc?
I read the manual and can’t seem to figure this out.
They act as rotaries, so you can use them to pitch bend
You can map almost any functions to the jogwheel and/or the 4 push buttons attached to it (but you’ll have to be careful with movements from the jog itself).
As for pitch, it’s way better to use either the rotary encoder(s) or the jogwheel (or any other button really) instead of the faders are they’re too ‘smooth’ for that.
I was looking at that as well as a few other controllers at the moment, I love the vci-300 and itch but on big club pa systems the sound card on the vci-300 is pants.
I could use traktor no problem but i would prefer to mix live and I have not come across anything or anyone who actually does this on the xone 2d.
My pref would be a pitch bend on the jog dial.
I have the 3D, and my jogs are mapped as CDJ Jog/Seek and it works out pretty well.

You mean as an extra piece of kit next to the 2D (which one do you have in mind) ?
'Cause while the 2D has a soundcard, it’s not a mixer.
2d seems to be a mixer as well as a controller, am i wrong?
it’s just a controller with a soundcard built in, no traditional mixing capabilities at all.
agreed in a sense. Even if you ‘could’ use it as a mixer (internal mode), you won’t get any main volume or channel volume leds for example which limits its capabilities as a mixer. And as a sidenote also, the jack(s) for headphones are not very well located.

When you say they are mapped to cdj etc, do you mean you pitch bend on them like a cdj jog wheel?as thats what i am looking for.
You can totally do that, I used to when I had a 1D (same thing minus the sound card)
Yeah. It behaves like a cdj jog would. Pitch bend if the track is playing, and seek when the track is paused.
