You can assign the Traktor Decks 1 till 4 because the DB2/4 has an internal USB soundcard.
Download the drivers, insert the USB cable and in Traktor you can set the output to each deck. And for the Maschine thing, I ment the Maschine output (so the sound coming from the Maschine). I don’t know how it’s done with different groups, guess you’ll need an external controller for that, something from Faderfox or something.

scratch gives my 4 stereo outouts…analog over the audio 10
maschine gives me the choice to send 4 stereo tracks over usb to the usb-ins of the db2
im not aware i can select the decks from traktor as usb source…
is that feature confirmed?
but is again speaking for the versatility of the db2
so for me it would make no difference…i can assign 5 analog sources over the a10 (either traktor or maschine )and 4 asio sources to the usbs-either traktor or maschine

So today I went to MIDI Amsterdam and tested the Xone DB2 and Xone 92.
In comparison to the DB4, I don’t like the post-fader routing from the FX. The Kill/Send mode is so much better in terms of what I need… The filter still sounds spot on, but I don’t like the Pioneer-esque LPF/HPF-filter. The Xone 92 is perfect in terms of filters, EQ and Send/Return channels.
Also, just gotta love the grip on those babies. Everything feels so smooth and like it was made with love.
I tested the DB4 before and now I know it for certain; it will be my first mixer. I will adore it, make love to it and keep coming back to her…
I’d choose the xone:92.
The db4’s input structure won’t run my mid-term setup goals: I want to run 3 turntables with vinyl or SSL + Maschine hosted in Ableton…and there aren’t enough inputs without running the SSL signals through an ADC before the mixer, which is stupid.
Plus, the 92 is available as a rotary.
Well, I understand that. The Xone:92 obviously suits your needs. But I’m just running Traktor in 4 deck mode, maybe in the future a Maschine or something next to it and the Rotary option is also available on the DB4. That’s so great about it, you can choose whether you would Rotary mode or just fader mode.
But all mixers have their own pros and cons, unfortunately. The perfect mixer doesn’t exist (yet).

Yes, for me also! But they could at least put more effort in more inputs and TSP Certification. But I don’t care about both of them.
If Xones had facking linear faders or fader adjust, I would not buy anything else. Ever. I’d get me a Xone92 and stick with that for the rest of my life.
I still want to buy one, but if the logarithmic faders annoy me as much as they did on my old Xone 42 Ima find it hard to hold onto it, despite the fact that the Filters more than make up for the lack of fader control. I know it’s a matter of getting used it but I just find it so difficult!
Db4 is definitely all kinds of cool but I don’t have the will/patience to stare at a tiny screen flipping through all kinds of EFX.
I like my mixers as pure and simple as possible.
The rotary 92 apparently doesn’t have that problem, but yes, they all do that.
The xone:02 will take an Innofader as replacement for its channel faders, so it might be possible to do that with the 92 as well……I’m not sure. I haven’t really looked at it. But if it’s basically your favorite mixer minus that one flaw and you’re willing to spend an extra $500 or so on a compliment of innofaders, it might be worth looking into. I don’t think it would be worth it.
I am having some issues with my next mixer purchase as well and my thinking has been the following. Db4 or Xone:92? DB4 looks amazing however, i won’t be taking this out and about so when playing out, i won’t have access to the FX which makes me think Xone:92 is the way forward as i am planning on routing Traktor into Ableton and using Ableton FX with TouchOSC. This would mean i would have my setup available via what ever mixer is installed in a venue. The only thing holding me back on the Xone:92 is the fact that i don’t know how well the Ableton FX stack up when compared to the FX on the DB4. Anybody able to give opinions on this?
a little off topic but does anyone know how to fix a little white noise coming thru my faders on my xone 92 when I push them up?
Ableton Live lets you use VSTs and (on Apple) Audio Units. If you’re willing to pay for them, there are better effects available for the computer than any DJ mixer will ever have.
Call A&H tech support. They’re actually helpful. Probably just need to clean them.
I realise that this is an old thread, but how do people use older Traktor soundcards with this? Being that if you switch from line to phono on say a Pioneer mixer with both phono and line inputs and an audio 8, you can mix vinyl as both inputs are plugged in? Of course I’m aware you can use ‘direct thru’ with the new Traktor soundcards, but what about the old ones? Something like this I assume would suffice?
id choose xone 92 or 4d over db2/db4 because I M O they sound better. Nothing wrong with db4/db2, they just dont sound analogue because they are digital.
Also if u like 4 band eq thats a plus.
I’ve got a xone 92 rotary. It’s the sex to mix on this. Especially for house? Yes! I’ve also got a S2, but mixing on the 92 is always a good time. It’s a different experience with rotary mixers. If a rotary S2/S4 was developed, I would bring that into bed with me.
