It will work as a standalone. You can map those buttons and knobs to whichever dvs you like. If you are not using DVS then I would not go with the Z2 tho.
bah I have been trying to get a z2 without breaking the bank, since it seems like a z4 is in the works i think a price drop is coming pretty soon…
I heard something about only being able to use this mixer in internal mixing mode with timecode. can someone please tell me thats not true casue im not interested in a mixer priced controller.
if i was you i’d get a proper 4 channel mixer with midi then use your cdjs in 2 channels and map the other 2 channels to your software. in my opinion this is the way forward rather than these 2+2 mixers
Buy a used djm 800 or a denon dn x1600. If you’re not using your computer than you won’t have any fx besides filters on the z2. If that’s ok with you then fine, but I don’t see why you’d buy a traktor mixer and not use traktor.
You’re spending a lot of money for features you wont use. Just buy a nice 4 channel like the Dn-x1600, its in the same price range and is a truly awesome mixer. Or an A&H if you have the money. (Ive heard the Db2 is the best mixer on the market aside from its bigger brother)
