A few questions about the Twister.

A few questions about the Twister.

Are the sequence patterns only 1 bar long or can you set pattern lengths? Is there a swing ability? How are loops handled as oppose to one shot samples? Can I use both in a Twister controlled Remix Deck? Wondering if I could use it for DnB but I’d most likely need to add loops as some patterns are like 32nd notes and lots of offbeat sounds/ghost notes.

Cheers.

If you want to use loops why not just use an F1? You don’t need a sequencer to fire off loops.

My question as well. How does the Twister handle loops ? Will be using the sequencer most of the time, but might want to fire off a few loops at times.

The Twister triggers first 12 cells in a slot leaving you 4 unused sample cells in each of four remix deck slots that you could use as loops or one-shots when you want to. Just make sure the sequence is clear of the paterns and midi won’t get trough - than you can use them traditionally.

Thanks mate

I already have 2 F1s, as I am getting more into live mixes I was curious about the Twister and loops as for example in DnB you can have fast patterns at various velocities which would be better played as a loop. I suppose I could just use the other remix deck though for that. What about pattern lengths and swing?

Right now the sequence length is limited to four beats but it’s something that can be expanded in the future. The swing feature isn’t incorporated but it’s a good idea. As for now you can edit your sample grids for a desired offset.
