Ableton - launchpad LED problem

this is my first post on this forum. I’ve only had my launchpad and used ableton live 9 suite for a few days, but i’ve already run into a problem. Whenever I try to get LED for my drumrack in user 1, some of the buttons light up, while others don’t and don’t even respond at all. It’s the same buttons that never work and it’s the same pattern on the 4, 4*4. The way i try to get LED is by making a second midi track, setting input to be the drumrack, output to Launchpad and setting the ‘‘auto’’ to ‘‘in’’. What am i doing wrong? It’s was not like this when i first tried using it.
