Ableton Live 7 and midi controllers??

Ableton Live 7 and midi controllers??

I feel like a dumbass asking this…but I can’t for the life of me get my macbook/live 7 setup to see any usb midi controller I hook up to it. I’ve tried two different controllers, searched the forums as well as the manual. No success.

It seems like there’s something switched off on my mac somewhere but I can’t find it/figure it out.

Can somebody give me a hand?

Need a bit more of information m8…what version of Live r u using? what type of controller have u tried to hook up 2 your macbook? have u check the midi tab in the preferences of Live?

Live 7.0. Maudio Oxygen 8 and Evolution MK249C keyboard controllers. Neither one comes up in Live’s midi preferences when plugged in.

That’s really weird m8…have u tried 2 reinstall Live and see if the problem persist?

Nope haven’t reinstalled. Actually just installed it about a week ago.

If u r really stuck..try 2 see if u can find an answer in AbletonLiveDjs Forum…that’s the last thing i can think of…good luck

Where does it not show?
Just in the preferences window, or won’t your Mac detect the device?
