AKAI MPD Update ?

I’m looking to purchase and Akai MPD32 but a friend mentioned that Akai may be putting out a new series this month.

Can anyone confirm if they’re any truth to this ? Would hate to buy it and a week later they come out with a new model :disappointed:

They’re probably talking about the MPC renaissance series, but I think the Native Instruments Maschine Mk1 or Mk2 is a better buy tbh.

Machine is worth the money more than MPC is.

Yeah I’ve been wrestling with the MPD32 vs Machine but at the end of the day I’m planning to use it primarily for Ableton - although given all the feedback about the machine workflow I could cross over or even use it as a vst but I kind of like having the fader’s that the MPD offers.

MPC seems a little pricey that’s for sure!

I have an MPD24, the pads are really poor after you have used them for about a year, If you get an MPD get phat pads and corx to go with them
