Okay, so for a DJ on a budjet, what would be a cheaper alternative to a SL-1200? Eventually I’ll be picking up a set of 1200’s or 1210’s, but for now I just can’t afford a set of them.
Any input at all is helpful..thanks guys
may you check out some tests about stanton turntables. there are some really nice models out there but more expensive than the 1210, but there are also much cheaper models out there on the market.
i use 2x numark tt200 for $200 each and does the same thing as technics. only thing is you must spend a little cash on s-tonearm, good stylus, and something else that looks like a ball at the end of a tone arm of the technics. or you can become a bidder on ebay.
I do love my M3Ds. People think the MK5s are so much better then the M3Ds even though the only difference between M3Ds and MK5s is an LED Target Light and the tracking force on a M3D is 1-3 grams compared to 1-6 grams.
Well over due update…Got 1200’s…found them on CL locally like the day after I posted this. Got the pair of SL-1200Mk2’s for $650 with carts and styli. Replaced the RCA’s and they’ve been running like a dream since I got em. These things are addictive. I need moar.
Yep, once you get some real 1200s, then you want just another pair, and another pair, and another pair… pretty soon you’re whoring yourself out just to get those M5Gs.
Dude…you ever had your balls licked? It has nothing to do with taste. If that’s where it was from, “Dog’s spine” (which allows him to curl up like that) would be more appropriate.
