apc80 mod. Should I?
I’m thinking about doing the apc80 mod to control traktor scratch 2. My apc40 is currently mapped to traktor but i think with an additional apc20 it will give me the more options i need. Does anyone here have any experience with it? I’ve only seen the youtube videos.

I guess it depends on what mapping you use and how you want to use at the end of teh day.

Ya dude, i built the APC80 and i use it in TSP 2. I LOVE IT, its a beast of a controller and you have so many options to program with the huge button layout!

Just get an S4 and an X1 if you need something more to control absolutely everything. Using the apc40 rotary encoders for EQs is awful IMO as is using the line faders on the side for volume. If you must use an APC40 you might as well use the bottom row of encoders as rotary faders to make it intuitive. EQs should be potentiometers with a start, end, resistance, and a center detent. Trying to EQ on encoders is silly.

They’re really not bad once you’re used to them, to be honest. I slightly prefer using pots, but it’s not nearly as bad as you make it out to be to use encoders.
I just got my apc20 to complete the apc80 today but I won’t be able to play around with it until this weekend. I got it for a great price brand new and comes with a $30 mail in rebate. I have an awesome custom mapping that I will share with you guys when I’m done with it.
I’m pretty accurate at using the rotary knobs. I guess I just got use to em.
